Found this cute little guy. Battery bms seems to either be dead or cell voltage too low. Has anyone in the Linux community revived a BMS before or recharged from zero?

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine captured two Chinese citizens who fought in the Russian army. He added that there are currently approximately 155 Chinese citizens known to be fighting against Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine, and about whom there is accurate information regarding their passport data, recruitment channels, etc. While their real number is estimated to be much higher. He also emphasized China’s “military support” for Russia, equating it to the DPRK and Iran.

[...]

In this situation, it is indicative and important for analysis that China, from the very beginning of the news about the prisoners, began to censor its information space, removing from social networks and the media any mention of the detained Chinese citizens, even from the friendly Russia Today.

The Russian media, experts, and Kremlin-controlled Telegram channels unanimously denied the Chinese presence [...]

Such significant active work by the PRC [People's Republic of China] to hide these facts and reduce mention of them gives us an interesting clue.

[...]

[Three conclusions regarding Chinese prisoners of war]

  • Firstly [...] Ukraine needs to support the discussion in the information space of aspects of the involvement of the Chinese in the war against Ukraine, for which it should provide new information obtained from the results of interrogations of Chinese citizens. Ukraine’s repeated appeals to China in 2022-2024 have not yielded results – China has become a critical enabler of the Russian war and the Russian defense industry.

At the same time, such significant active work by the PRC to hide these facts and reduce mention of them gives us an interesting clue.

  • Secondly, in parallel, efforts should be intensified to identify the presence of Chinese in the Russian army and, if possible, to capture other Chinese citizens. [...] This is especially relevant given China’s efforts to improve relations with Europe in the context of a trade war with the United States, but evidence of direct military support by China for Russian military efforts could significantly complicate this process, and therefore Kyiv could demand that China reduce technological support for Russia.

  • Third, given the intensification of China-American competition and the beginning of a tariff and trade war, it is important for Kyiv that Ukraine’s key military partner, the US, understands the interconnectedness of the European and Indo-Pacific theaters. Information that China is increasing its support for Russia could be an additional argument for Kyiv in negotiations with Washington regarding the provision of reliable security guarantees to Ukraine and the continuation of military-technical supportfor Ukraine, as well as additional sanctions on Russia and China.

  10. Global cancer statistics 2018: GLOBOCAN estimates of incidence and mortality worldwide for 36 cancers in 185 countries (2016)

The article went in-depth on some trends... but in brief:

  • 1, 6, 7, 8 are all papers that are foundational to the current generation of deep learning/AI research, so naturally they got cited a lot. Among these 6 may be less relevant than the others, but random forest is still incredibly important as a method
  • 2 and 5 were random (but extremely important) methods that got written into papers so ppl can cite them
  • 9, 10 are extremely important cancer statistics/reviews that are cited by just about every and any cancer researcher
  • 4 is the "psychiatry's bible" and is meant to be a foundational work to this field of research
  • 3 was meant to be a brief guideline for a psychology research method, but accidentally blew up in popularity

When ~~President~~Dicktator Trump recently griped about Europe's distaste for buying American chicken, his comments touched on a long-running and divisive trade spat that's flared up from time to time.

Europeans disparage U.S. poultry as "chlorinated chicken," or "Chlorhünchen" in the German press, and see it as possibly unsafe.

The phrase refers to the use of chlorine in poultry processing plants after the birds have been slaughtered in order to cut down on harmful bacteria that are frequent sources of food-borne illness like Salmonella and Campylobacter.

[...]

"The vast majority of chicken processed in the United States is not chilled in chlorine and hasn't been for quite a few years," says Dianna Bourassa, an applied poultry microbiologist at Auburn University, "So that's not the issue."

Less than 5% of poultry processing facilities still use chlorine in rinses and sprays, according to the National Chicken Council, an industry group that surveyed its members. (Those that still do use a highly diluted solution at concentrations deemed safe.)

Nowadays, the industry mostly uses organic acids to reduce cross contamination, primarily peracetic, or peroxyacetic acid, which is essentially a mixture of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide.

  • Check Point Research has been tracking an advanced phishing campaign conducted by APT29, a Russia linked threat group, which is targeting diplomatic entities across Europe.
  • The campaign, which appears to be a continuation of a previous one that utilized a backdoor known as WINELOADER, impersonates a major European foreign affairs ministry to distribute fake invitations to diplomatic events—most commonly, wine tasting events.
  • This campaign employs a new loader, called GRAPELOADER, which is downloaded via a link in the phishing email. In addition, we discovered a new variant of WINELOADER which is likely used in later stages of the campaign.
  • While the improved WINELOADER variant is still a modular backdoor used in later stages, GRAPELOADER is a newly observed initial-stage tool used for fingerprinting, persistence, and payload delivery. Despite differing roles, both share similarities in code structure, obfuscation, and string decryption. GRAPELOADER refines WINELOADER’s anti-analysis techniques while introducing more advanced stealth methods.

Hi everyone, I am developing a project to help people engage in constructive conversations about certain aspects of society 100 years in the future. I woud be very grateful if you could let me know which one of the 8 prompt on this website I have develop you find more interesting (you can also engage in a conversation with the AI, as I built in a GPT API). That would help me in further developing more prompts, I have about 60 at the moment. Thanks a lot in advance!
