Summary

Caroline Darian, daughter of convicted rapist Dominique Pelicot, insists her father should die in prison.

Pelicot, 72, was sentenced to 20 years for drugging and raping his wife, Gisèle, and facilitating her assault by 50 other men over a decade.

Police uncovered his crimes after an unrelated arrest led to disturbing evidence.

Darian, who suspects she was also drugged, campaigns against drug-facilitated assault.

She struggles with her dual identity as the daughter of both Pelicot and her mother, now a feminist icon in France.

Original Title: So, did Nicky V accidentally(or, knowing him, maybe purposefully) start a style trend that would go on to define future LTT related projects lol? I haven't seen this colour combo used this effectively by other brands😂

I am about to begin receiving a benefit to the tune of an extra $2k per month that I don't have a need for. I'm fortunate enough that all my needs are met financially and this is truly bonus income. If it didn't exist, my life wouldn't change significantly, and it's not enough to quit my job. Trying to get others thoughts on what would be good uses of this money that would benefit me and my family.

Thoughts:

  • ALL_IN_VTSAX - hit FIRE goal earlier than planned
  • kiddo's college fund - hit funding goal earlier than planned
  • do fun things - vacation fund, memories with family
  • fund hobbies - buy things I don't need but "lower-guilt" use of spare funds

Probably a combination of all of the above, but interested to hear the thoughts of others.

I'm also reminded of:

When you have more than you need, build a bigger table.

Curious of ways to help influence things in a bubble larger than my family too.

The London Stock Exchange (LSE) has been asked what checks are in place to vet firms after fast-fashion retailer Shein refused to answer "basic questions" over its supply chain.

Liam Byrne, chair of the Business and Trade Committee, wrote to Dame Julia Hoggett asking if the stock market had tests in place to "authenticate statements" by firms seeking to list, "with particular regard to their safeguards against the use of forced labour in their products".

It comes after MPs branded the evidence of a Shein lawyer "ridiculous" when she refused to say if the company sold products containing cotton from China.

Byrne told Dame Julia that MPs were "profoundly concerned at the lack of candid and open answers".

"The committee would like to draw your attention to the concerning evidence we heard," he said in a letter to the LSE chief executive on Friday.

The BBC understands Shein, founded in China but now headquartered in Singapore, has filed initial paperwork to list in the UK, which could value it at £50bn. It follows the retailers rapid rise to one of the biggest fast fashion firms globally, shipping to customers in 150 countries.

But questions remain over the company's supply chain amid allegations of forced labour and human rights abuses.

Title. A particular game Ive been looking for for ages is dead in torrents/dl. Now its sequel is also out.

I found old reddit forums where you could request such games, but theyve been dead for 2+ years.

Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
