I moved from next cloud to syncthing some months back. I had nextcloud as an app for Truenas scale. Several times after app dates, next cloud would stop running and would have to setup up everything again.

Syncthing is OK but 2 things annoy me:

A. I get huge amounts of conflict file generated that use up space

B. File sharing with family is complicated. I tried to setup a share account that everyone uses but as syncthing works with device ids, it refuses two accounts from the same machine. I share my Linux laptop with my wife. We each have our own linux account. I've got syncthing running but can't even get my wife's account to sync because I get errors that device I'd already exists.

I don't want to go back to next cloud just for file sharing. I don't generally like the idea of relying on one service for multiple objectives (calendar, file sharing, etc.).

Is there a way to get syncthing to do what I want?

I know this is old news by now, but I was not sure how to activate vertical tabs on all of my browsers. It certainly is not obvious, so I wanted to include the instructions here in case anyone else wants to try it out.

Type about:config into the address bar of Firefox. You'll be greeted with a warning that you are accessing advanced settings - click "Accept the Risk and Continue." Search for the boolean preference sidebar.verticalTabs and set to true. That's it! Enjoy your vertical Tabs!

Edit: You may also need to set sidebar.revamp to true if it is not already/automatically set.

I often struggle to remember where/if I've ordered a product (my email account is a mess, my own fault!), how much I've paid and if it was for me or for some member of my family. Is there a self hosted service that you've tried and find helpful that can do this kind of job?

Would like to know what you guys use/recommend when it comes to downloading music. Preferably, it would fullfil the following requirements:

• Ability to download Lossless files (.flac) but .mp3 files too.

• Full Metadata of songs (Album cover, album name, track number, etc.)

• Ability to import songs from Spotify/identify liked all liked songs from Spotify.

• (Optional) have integrated lyrics, like Spotify.

I feel like I'm missing something else, but can't quite put my finger on it. Anyway, please enlighten me dear booty lovers. What is da waey?

I'm currently in Germany, and I've heard from many people that authorities are much stricter here than most other countries, and are likely to fine you for piracy. Back in the states I would use websites such as streameast and manga4life very often to watch sports and read manga without any trouble, and I wanted to know if those websites are still safe here??

I just need a good site to watch tv shows on. all the sites on fmhy are so bad. half of them have stopped working recently and keep buffering. cineby was working wonders for a while until it went to crap.

People who go to China end up loving it and I've yet to see a review from someone who went there and hated it. In contrast, sellout Hong Kongers who go to their much vaunted UK come away miserable and seeing no future, regretting they can't return home.

The contrast on videos of everyone who goes there and is amazed vs the sellout HKer videos who end up with nothing and no future in the UK is hilarious and telling.

If you like China so much why don't you move there? Don't mind if I do!

But if you like the UK so much and you do move there, my condolences and much lols. You deserve what you get.
