The study, published in the journal Advanced Materials, could be a cheaper, more energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly way to recycle batteries compared with traditional recycling methods.

But current battery recycling relies on metallurgical techniques. This typically involves chopping up battery materials and heating them to high temperatures, burning energy. The techniques also usually break down the materials into individual elements. So metallurgical methods don’t make economic sense for lithium iron phosphate cathodes, which don’t contain valuable elements.

Researchers in China found a way to directly regenerate the entire lithium iron phosphate cathode. They did that using tea compounds called polyphenols, which are antioxidants famous for their health benefits. Polyphenols are rich in hydroxyl groups. These groups donate electrons to the oxidized, degraded iron and converts it back to its original form. The interplay between the electron donors and the lithium salt also restores the crystal lattice of the lithium compound.

Here's the quick rundown of the contest for those who aren't familiar with it. In this contest we will decide who would become the 10th best guy of r/anime. Rounds will be posted daily at about 8PM Eastern Daylight Time. (12 PM UTC). If the contest posts get quickly buried because of high traffic on r/anime that day, a repost of the same round would be made at about 8AM Eastern Daylight Time the next morning. (12 AM UTC). This is to encourage more participation as we received many complaints in Best Girl 11 that it was just so hard to find the contest post on the first page.

This contest will consist of:

• 512 total guys
• 2 nomination rounds
• 3-4 elimination round
• 4 bracket groups

Only characters who have made their debut in an anime as late as Summer 2024 are eligible. (Yes, that means Ken Takakura and Taiki Inomata are not allowed).

Only 5 characters will be allowed into the final bracket per franchise, these will be determined in the elimination round.

Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro said Monday that his government will end its free trade agreement with Israel and seeks to revise the one with the United States.

Petro made the announcement during a cabinet meeting amid rapidly deteriorating tensions with its former partners over Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, which is largely sponsored by the US.
