  • Withdrawing from the Paris Agreement
  • Targeting wind power
  • Regulating emissions

Buried deep inside Trump’s order on “unleashing American energy” is a directive that would not just end climate regulations, but would also make sure no future administration could ever curb dangerous emissions from fossil fuels.

I've been trying to find a good privacy respecting browser, but I can't really decide on what to use. I don't like the search results with Brave Search. DuckDuckGo shares my information with Microsoft and SearchXNG shows me NSFW images even with strict search on. I really like Presearch, but I'm not really sure what they're about.

EDIT: After tinkering with the settings of my SearXNG instance, it seems to have reduced the amount of NSFW images. I think I will stick with SearXNG for now.

I see that the official Matt Leacock's Pandemic boardgame adaptation on Android was abandoned by Asmodee, allegedly due to various quality problems.

There are a few versions floating out there in various apk archives, and even something called "Pandemic" in the Google Play store by some outfit named Seadex that I have no idea whether is anything related to the original boardgame.

Does anyone have a favorite implementation of the Pandemic boardgame they can recommend?

Among those receiving the pardons were Gen. Mark A. Milley, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the longtime government scientist; and all the members of the bipartisan House committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, including former Representative Liz Cheney, a Republican from Wyoming.

I'm not interested in developing software that comes bundled with these colors. Just looking for a concrete answer because, seriously, couldn't find one. Can they be used in non-video game contexts?

I have the following kernels installed:

  • linux-zen (Zen)
  • linux-rt (RealTime)
  • linux-hardened (Security Hardened)
  • linux-lts (Long Term Support)
  • linux-tr-lts (Realtime LTS)

When I boot up, I try the different kernels from time to time just to see if anything interesting happens. It never does.

My question: How do I actually physically notice the difference between these kernels? If I use RT, does Firefox spawn quicker (in my testing, no, not really)?

What are some use cases when I can really see the difference in these kernels?

So, i have been a Linux only user for about a year now I think. I went with bazzite, and am quite happy so far, i haven't yet managed to brick anything and almost everything I want to do is easily done.

However, there is the keyring app that gives me nothing but grief. Supposedly it stores login credentials for applications on the system. Practically, it does whatever the fuck it wants, and I have no idea why.

Randomly, on every system boot, it asks me to create a new keyring. Doesn't access already stored info, doesn't store afterwards entered credentials properly either. Ultimately it doesn't work for me at all.

...or so you would think. Sometimes, for no discernible reason, it works as expected. No keyring creation prompt, no manual typing of my vpn credentials. It has them stored, reads them properly, and connects the vpn automatically and quietly in the background just as I set it up and want to behave.

But anytime I get used to it just working as expected it goes back to a period of constant password typing and dozens upon dozens of (empty) duplicate entries in its credential list.

What the fuck is going on with that damn app, and how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance
