He's saying that if you show a smartphone to someone who has no concept of modern technology without teaching them how it works, then they will think it's magic.

This honestly shouldn't be a stretch for you to understand, but you're average so it makes sense.

I definitely think electromagnetism is magical from our perspective.

Everything else is pretty crude and we have to start looking inward for anything resembling magic.

Considering how much of our existence is online these days, it seems like denying people the means to participate is almost like denying their right to exist.

I'd like to see a world where everyone has the capability to shape this digital space in a fair and accessible manner.
