Just got Ogu and the Secret Forest free via the epic games giveaway. And while it is rated gold on proton and verified for Steam Deck I cannot get it to run properly.

Installed it va Heroic launcher, I can start it but as soon as I start a game it keeps freezing on the loading screen. Left it running for a while, nothing happens. I use Proton experimental for that. But switching Proton didn't help. I switched to older ones mentioned on ProtonDB, then it just does not start.

Also tried installation with Lutris, doesn't even start. Anyone who got it running successfully from the Epic games store?

Are there any plans for supporting piefed, another federated platform "close" to Lemmy? Just saw another client (Interstellar) being able to connect to Lemmy, mbin and piefed instances, wondered if its on the Thunder roadmap?

Edit: found the solution. It wasn't haptics settings for the trackpad, but haptics settings for the left stick that needed to be switched off.

I got an issue I just cannot wrap my head around. I got Dark Forces via Steam, the original version. I downloaded the most popular controller layout for Steamdeck, however it is really annoying to use since for some reasons when I move around using the left stick, the left trackpad starts vibrating as if I move via that.

This is not a hardware issue, I play plenty of games that use the left stick, which other than Dark Forces never leads to the left trackpad vibrating. Also I found a different controller layout that I liked for Dark Forces, where this issue isn't happening.

Now why do I still bring it up. I hear of the Force Engine project that modernised Dark Forces quite a bit. Required some tinkering, but got it working on the Steamdeck. Managed to copy over my layout from original Dark Forces. Again, left trackpad vibrating when left stick is moved.

What setting do I need to try to get rid of this? I tried removing any mapping from the trackpad, this didn't help. I found buried in some submenus a setting that was called haptics, I also switched that off. No change. It is really annoying and I just want to know which setting is causing this.

I tried searching online, but all I am getting is people saying it's a hardware issue. Hope you agree, in my case it is not.

Couldn't find this in the search here so not 100% it has been suggested before:

Can we have an new option to group communities into one feed? This was called a multireddit back on reddit, allows more granularity for feeds.

This is even more useful here on Lemmy, e.g. there are 3 separate communities on different servers about the same or very similar topics. A multicommunity of these 3 would simply merge their feeds into one. Then you won't need to check them individually for new posts anymore, just check the muticommunity.

Not sure how you would solve posting to a multicommunity, maybe needs an extra selection to which actual community this should be posted to.

I think there is already a Lemmy app that has implemented this, don't remember which one...

Not sure this is on-topic enough and maybe a bit niche, but does anyone here have experience running Animal Crossing via Ryujinx on the Steamdeck?

Just tested it and it really seems to bring the Steamdeck to its limits. Fan is running a lot, I had a crash or two as well. Kinda worried about frying my Steamdeck with this.

I checked online for performance tweaks but they mostly say that Yuzu works a bit better with the right tweaks, Ryujinx is already setup the best way but has worse performance.

Nothing that can be done or does anyone have some experience here?

Edit: Steamdeck OLED version by the way.
