My man R2-D2. Took no shit from anyone, did what he thought was right, was around from the beginning, and survived practically everything. Plus was a loyal friend to Threepio even when he was acting like an idiot

When I was a teen I always wanted to get my hands on a machine that makes subtitles on tapes or however TF it was done in the 90s and make my own version where R2 is just absolutely foul mouthed and abusive the whole time.
Without R2 ANH would have gone very differently.
Obi-Wan Kenobi for me too. He's wise, calm under pressure, and a skilled Jedi who is always there when you need him, whether as a mentor or a defender of peace and justice in the galaxy
as a mentor
ummmmm
Revan. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.
A lot of people like Kreia from KOTOR2 but Revan will always have my heart. My favorite SW character, though canon trilogy Thrawn probably ties.
I started reading some of the books again a couple years ago and every time Bane or Tenebrous think about Revan, I always smile a little inside. Greatest Sith Lord in my eyes.
Barf. "I'm a mawg! Half man, half dog. I'm my own best friend."
Damn right, meatbag!
Chewbacca. Because I am also large, hairy, and communicate in a series of grunts and growls
I am part of the Power Droid Posse.
Gonk-gonk
Hell yeah there's more of us!
It was pretty much Obi-Wan until I saw Rogue One, Cassian Andor is just a great character, maybe because of the way Diego Luna portrays him. The way he analyses his environment and the way convoluted schemes around him play out is some of the best the franchise has to offer.
It’s really nice to see a normal person resisting fascism instead of just magical space wizards.
thrawn
I agree
Ahsoka Tano.
She is driving everyone crazy but she cares so much, and empathize with her so much.
Man, the clone wars really fucked me up didn't it...
I always liked Qui-Gon.
A Jedi who was always true to his faith in the force and never fell into to the politics of the order.
R2-D2. That spunky little droid is the only reason there is a Skywalker Saga!
Always loved me some Mara Jade and Talon Karrde.
Absolutely solid choice both.
Talon isn't that deep of a character, but he's a great look at a smuggler who "made it". Mara, meanwhile, is just distilled awesome.
In the card game, I was super familiar with this guy, but it was the only card in the game that I had no clue where it came from.
Later, I learnt that is part of a junked 1940's Derwent jet engine. (Scott Manley)
I loved the SW card game as a kid, but everyone wanted to play Magic instead. I will admit, however, that the rules probably weren't the greatest. You just played for that 1 game out of 20 where you actually managed to get the right cards out to blow up the Death Star or superlaser a planet, or had a Vader vs. Luke fight.
Also IG-88 had a whole backstory in the EU (now SW Legends) where there were FOUR of him
And one became the Death Star.
I'm a simple man, so any ewok will do.
Jaina Solo aka Sword of the Jedi
insert explanation that I'm too tired for
Ahsoka Tano.
Darth jar jar if we're allowing any peripheral characters/universes.
Otherwise, to me, ol palpy palpy poopoo would be the most interesting man in that galaxy. he controlled the galactic empire for a while. used it to expand power and presence, and sought immortality. etc.
now whether or not I approve of him being in IX... well... let's just say that wasn't him but a revived amalgamation of several sith.
R2D2. I firmly believe that the joke is true that he's constantly swearing up a storm and knows basically everything but everybody who hears his stories just thinks he's making shit up for laughs.
Have you read Darths and Droids? It's a webcomic using the plot of the movies as if they are a RPG season.
R2D2 is a min maxer player who put all their stats into hacking and in intelligence. So strength 1 dexterity 1 charisma 1 etc.
My namesake doesn't last terribly long...
War is intolerable. We have been deceived into thinking that we must be a part of it. I say the moment we committed to fighting, we already lost.
Duchess Satine Kryze
Glup Shitto is the coolest, i cannot believe nobody's mentioned him yet
Wedge Antilies.
"Yub Yub Comander."
Grand Admiral Thrawn - but only the EU version.
Really a fascinating character in so many respects. One of the more complex and difficult to decipher ones. Was he really a genius out for the good of the galaxy? Or a social status-climber willing to latch on to any cause he could while serving his own ends? Were his more questionable deeds really done regretfully "for the greater good", or was that just an excuse?
The Special Edition version of Sy Snootles.
"Jedi Rocks" rocks.
Cal Kestis, his story is awesome and also really interesting. I don’t think we’ve ever seen a twist to the dark side as good and gradual as his in videogame form. I personally can’t wait for the next game
Finn (FN-2187)
He follows his heart so radically. I admire that.
D-O
Darth Momin
I can't explain why but maybe Kylo Ren
Lio Partagaz the ISB leader in Andor. He is an amazing example of the extreme competency of the empire, and why they should be feared. If the empire was full of the bumbling idiots depicted in most of the media, they wouldn't be an empire.
Jar Jar obviously
This depends. Qi-Gon Jinn saying "concentrate on the moment, feel don't think" oh my, and he does seem very dedicated and not so political.
But R2D2 gets it done. He is a great character every time he appears.
