Its funny because Im was sorta wondering where she stood on religion. I think she comes from a family associated with one of the less severe peace church's but I can't explain why earlier comics made me feel that with her mom and family. My memory is sorta wierd and I will remember what I synthesize over details often unless I rote memorize which is really hard for me. Anyway she also had jesus regularly in the strip along with her devil and angel and all those go way back. Mostly jesus was upset at christian hypocrasy. He did sorta disapear and there have been some comics and this one in particular where I think she made the change from christian to agnostic to athiest. I wonder because personally I was raised catholic and can't say I ever believed at an adult cognitive level as I was agnostic by high school. Stayed that way a real long time but in the modern age I have just seen so much of people believing all sorts of made up crazy things people peddle that it was the final nail in the coffin where I just could not give religion the benefit of the doubt. Keep in mind before that there is the fact that the more recent a religion the more you can actually point to historical inaccuracies and its only the ones that are old enough where there is not enough records that you don't have anything definitive. Anyway. Good for her and her family.

Not sure why she would think that because the comic even with the two year I think the kid was born before covid. Seems like they had the one before and the other was born just as covid was becoming a thing a year or so apart so the elder should still be in the single digits. My guess is as her oldest gets older she is gearing up for how she will handle it perfectly.

This type of thing goes through my head constantly. Im kinda surprised trump is even trying to hide epstein given how well just breaking laws and being openly corrupt has been for him/they/them.

This one tackles something I see sometimes when posting. Its like all comics are not always about jokes. I enjoy the diversity DP has from its slice of life thing and the genuineness of it coming from someones life. Ironically, it was getting the one she had made one day, in a sorta advertise poster type of way ,for a protest they went to, that got removed on comicstrips at lemmy world that had me abandon that community. People have to realize if they are doing a community were art is the topic that its going be all kinds of stuff, even if its just one medium type.

Ooh this one gets me. My mom was a hoarder and I see the genes in myself and my family. Have to resist the urges. Honestly its not all genes. My parents grew up in the depression and it creates a kind of fear of not having something. Its much easier to dejunk if you are very financially stable.

Ok so the setup is I have not been watching recent media of the last half decade or so but the dog in superman along with some reviews got me thinking about grabbing it once its available digitally. However I recently found out some of my neighbors are geeky and one is into comics as the main thing and they both recommended FF4 (editing this to say that is supposed to be fantastic four and I don't know what I was thinking. fantasctic four 4. lol. sorry. boy would have saved me a lot just to write it properly to begin with) and thunderbolts over superman. They felt superman was alright and the dog was sorta the best part but FF4 and thunderbolts blew them away. So for lemmikins and other members of the federation who have seen all three movies. How do you feel about them or rank them or whatever you think it right but you should have watched all three in their entirety.

Now this never really bothered me in the past but on hindsight I stick this thing in my mouth just like food so it would be good to know what its composed of. What really got me though is seeing toothbrushes that say whitening or antimicrobial which begs the question. Why is this whitening or antimicrobial? What the heck is in it that is doing this action??? Now that I think of it this might be more than mildly infuriating.

This made me think of old political cartoons and how you might see a few examples and you were like huh, but it did not really sink in what was happening at the the time. We really are in a gilded age revival and I very much don't like it. I was born in the 20th century and the 21st was supposed to be more advanced, equitable, and intelligent. I really don't want to live in the 19th century part deux.

So I like to call the grouping as the federation but for me it mainly means the things aggregating communities. So the reddit like experience but then there is mastadon which is twitter like. Anyway I often think about the whole thing like going to a bar, or a club, or basically any type of thing where you hang out. You have places you regularly like to hang at which are the subscritpions, you have places you hate and you block those, then you sometimes just go whereever to see whats out there which is like scrolling all. So I was trying to think what mastadon would be like and I was thinking it was like going to someones party because the host is not a group or location so much as an individual. There is no real question here just a musing I felt like sharing.

People may think this is an exaggeration or something but she mentions in the notes on the site this is something that happened. I can say that the folks I know who have mental problems. I'm talking diagnosed schzophrenia living in a halfway house. He seems to appeal to those with cognitive dysfunction which I can't believe his other supporters have not noticed at rallies or such. Then its such an in group mentality and I don't get how anyone in this crowd want to be part of this in group. I just don't get it.

As time goes by I feel many basic ideas have been lost. Good things are good, bad things are bad. Better is better than worse. Everyone doing better is better than only some doing better.
