I get all my cat's dietary advice from this shitposting community, so if you wouldn't mind being less antagonistic towards the users posting valuable information that would be appreciated.

not a catologist but from what i remember its mostly just too much salt and spices in general for their good.
So cats need to eat English food
It's the salt mostly. Especially with indoor cats who often don't get wet food and so are on the under hydrated side of things as they tend to not drink as much as they should.
Technically any without garlic or onion is safe for them to have a tiny bit as a treat but it's so incredibly easy to overdo that it's just safer to not give it to them.
Too much nitrates or nitrites is bad for cats yes, but they'd have to eat an excessive amount for it to be a concern and again the excess salt would be a bigger issue first.
Can confirm. Little kitty kidneys can’t handle that much salt. Kidney issues are one of the most common causes of illness in older cats, so it’s best not to take any salt-related risks.
…I will occasionally give my bois a lil ham or turkey tho. But just a lil!
