He really is the platonic ideal of an american

[–] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 15 points 3 weeks ago

he used to be such a good poster, a shadow of his former self now

It is, yes. Makes it even better.

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 40 points 3 weeks ago

The 9/11 tweet is the hall of famer of Trump posts and always gets a laugh out of me.

[–] FALGSConaut@hexbear.net 25 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

His 9/11 tweet is the greatest of all time, proof that true artists are ahead of the curve

[–] Krem@hexbear.net 17 points 3 weeks ago

posted on september 12 even chefs-kiss

And TAGGING HIMSELF? That has always slipped past me. Art.

[–] Biggay@hexbear.net 12 points 3 weeks ago

IIRC thats an artifact of how retweeting worked back in the day

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 22 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

i can't believe the 9/11 one is that old jfc

[–] GoodGuyWithACat@hexbear.net 7 points 3 weeks ago

Right? I would have sworn it was during his first admin.

I often think about how anybody who writes any kind of decent history book of this era has to include these tweets in order to properly convey what happened to future generations.

[–] Maturin@hexbear.net 22 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I guess we have no choice but to carve it into precious marble.

[–] Carl@hexbear.net 20 points 3 weeks ago

Bury it in the desert next to the 9gag meme stone.

Having to learn 21st century English to understand the words “catty bitch”

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 8 points 3 weeks ago

God, I hope we're catalogued

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 39 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

It feels like he lost the mojo when he started signing off on his tweets

[–] PostyourJaggaHogs@hexbear.net 37 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

That's so real. "THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER" reads like he's been told by Big Balls that he needs to sound more formal.

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 25 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah it doesn't feel natural at all, very forced.

Trump brokered a deal with the "fifth estate" that if he stops saying "fake news" and agreed to apply sign-offs to his twitter posts (to make them more "presidential") then they will stop calling him an anti-democratic fascist.

Tellingly, his prior critics did not care if he retained his anti-democratic, fascistic tendencies.

[–] comrade_pibb@hexbear.net 32 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

computer, lemme get a screen shot of the "protruding nipples" tweet

[–] miz@hexbear.net 42 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] Ram_The_Manparts@hexbear.net 6 points 3 weeks ago

Oh yeah, that's the stuff

[–] Feinsteins_Ghost@hexbear.net 32 points 3 weeks ago

There's so many.

I especially enjoy the fact that as he is/was president, they'll be recorded for posterity for those who come after us to enjoy. A real treat.

He lost his mojo when he got banned originally. His return is a pitiful copy of his previous.

[–] Carl@hexbear.net 29 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Washed up psycho @BetteMidler was forced to apologize for a statement she attributed to me that turned out to be totally fabricated by her in order to make “your great president” look really bad. She got caught, just like the Fake News Media gets caught. A sick scammer!

[–] dougfir@hexbear.net 20 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

forgot washed up psycho is from 2019, i thought that was an early trump. that and bad food restaurants are almost poetic, i love just turning them around in my mind

[–] Carl@hexbear.net 12 points 3 weeks ago

I thought the same thing, I was surprised when I looked it up to copy paste and saw the date.

Sissy Graydon Carter of failing Vanity Fair Magazine and owner of bad food restaurants has a problem-his V.F. Oscar party is no longer "hot"

This one is legendary as well, thanks for reminding me of it.

Best line in the Elizabeth Warren beer catastrophe is, to her husband, “Thank you for being here. I’m glad you’re here” It’s their house, he’s supposed to be there!

[–] miz@hexbear.net 5 points 3 weeks ago

all time classic

[–] Nakoichi@hexbear.net 23 points 3 weeks ago

This one is up there for sure.

[–] prole@hexbear.net 22 points 3 weeks ago

My partner has a TikTok comment about this tweet with 10s of thousands of likes and it always gets more and they always bring it up because it's just so fucking funny

[–] peeonyou@hexbear.net 16 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

This guy definitely belongs on mount rushmore. Fits in perfectly.

[–] Ram_The_Manparts@hexbear.net 5 points 3 weeks ago

Make all the faces Trump

[–] miz@hexbear.net 4 points 3 weeks ago

build a vague fascimile of his head from the scree and rubble the Klan-adjacent project left underneath

[–] TrustedFeline@hexbear.net 15 points 3 weeks ago

What’s going on with my “boys” and, in some cases, “gals?”

Definitely the best intro

[–] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 13 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

I once read a thing that pointed out how often he used the phrase “like a dog” in his tweets, and this is a good example, because being cheated on like a dog sounds weird. I guess dogs aren’t exactly known for being monogamous? shrug-outta-hecks

My choice would be the “Many such cases!” tweet, even though it’s gross since it claims vaccines cause autism. I can’t help it that “many such cases” is now in my lexicon.

Not a Trump post, but my favorite Trump moment was at a PA rally where he said:

trump-drenched "By the way, nice trucks. You think I could hop into one of them and drive it away? I'd love to do it. Just drive the hell outta here. Just get the hell out of this. I had such a good life. My life was great."
