I can tell you from first-hand experience who this appeals to: Rich capitalists who are obsessed with any tech that looks remotely futuristic but do not have the slightest clue how anything works or what it actually does.

This, like 99% of AI services, is not made to appeal to consumers, it's made to grift investors. It's made to blow confetti into their eyes and go "Ooooh look, it's just like a human, it's the future!"

The tech industry does not want to admit that progress is slowing down, so they've pivoted to selling tech that doesn't exist yet. And again, I can tell you from first-hand experience that it's working perfectly. Rich capitalists are falling for this dumb charade hook, line and sinker. They fell for it during the crypto/NFT mania, they fell for it during the metaverse hype and oh my god are they falling for every AI snake oil salesman.

Listen if the poors don't like it, they can start their own supermarket chain. That's the beauty of the free market, clearly there is simply not a single person on the entire world with a superior entrepreneurial spirit than the founders of fucking Walmart.

It's incredible just how fearful US cops are. The training must be pure psychological torture.
