That's just a classic NYC pie with unusual toppings.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 31 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Anything and everything from a Ghibli film

[–] cm0002@piefed.world 13 points 2 weeks ago

That's cheating LMAO The only people who wouldn't want Ghibli food are people who've never seen it lol

Only right answer.

[–] Apeman42@lemmy.world 18 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Any of the giant drumsticks or hams on the bone that are seemingly pure delicious meat with no connective tissue, and can apparently be eaten with all the effort of an ice cream bar.

[–] ur_ONLEY_freind@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 weeks ago

Came here for this

[–] OhStopYellingAtMe@lemmy.world 17 points 2 weeks ago

A burger of the day from Bob’s Burgers.

Giant jawbreakers from ed edd n eddy.

[–] cm0002@piefed.world 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

All that effort running scams to get them, they must have been absolutely amazing

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 weeks ago

Building an actual roller coaster "requiem for a whiplash"

[–] rmuk@feddit.uk 3 points 2 weeks ago

The guy who created the show said he specifically chose jawbreakers because of how awful they were.

[–] hperrin@lemmy.ca 15 points 2 weeks ago

Kinda wanna see what all the hype about Krabby Patties is.

[–] Elaine@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago

Does Garfield’s lasagna count?

[–] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

One of those big sandwiches. They come in a few styles, but whatever you're picturing, I'm down.

Nothing in real life ever looks as good as those sandwiches.

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Im picturing the deca-deckers from Scooby Doo. Sandwich taller than them eaten in one big bite

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 4 points 2 weeks ago

Used to be able to get turkey club sandwiches at pretth much any sit down restaurant that literally was like a cartoon sandwich when I was a kid.

[–] Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago

In Scooby doo and the witches ghost there's a scene here Scooby harasses a random diner goer over his steak. I WANT THAT STEAK. It cuts like butter, the bites look plump and juicy, of doesn't take the guy any time to chew but he looks so satisfied. I make a damn fine steak, but that scene will never be matched.

Grilled Magikarp looks delicious.

The steakroast(s) from Tom&Jerry. They always made it look so delicious.

[–] NChiwana76@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago

Smurfberries.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 7 points 2 weeks ago

That droopy, drippy pizza in All Dogs Go to Heaven.

[–] impudentmortal@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

The leaning tower of cheeza in A Goofy Movie looks so tasty. Not quite so in real life

[–] DaudAfandi@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

This one’s going to sound weird, but the grass that Spike eats right after he hatches in The Land Before Time.

[–] roostopher@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

From the same movie, the tree stars always looked delicious.

[–] wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 6 points 2 weeks ago

Cartoon popcorn. Looked fluffy with zero kernel leftovers to get stuck in your teeth.

[–] dumples@midwest.social 5 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I have always wanted to eat the rice balls from Pokemon:

You do know those are real, right? They're called Onigiri, and most sushi places sell them.

[–] dumples@midwest.social 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I've had them in real life. But they look so good in Pokemon. Also that was years after I saw them

[–] KammicRelief@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Cactus Juice (from the Flintstones).

[–] Quazatron@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] hperrin@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 weeks ago

They have it at Universal Studios. I don’t know who the actual brewery is, but I tried it, and it’s not bad.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 5 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

The only thing from a cartoon I have ever wanted to try and actually got to was limburger cheese. It's not as stinky as cartoons made it seem, and is actually tasty af.

Other than that, food in anime always looks hella good but its not weird or special. Just extremely detailed images of actual dishes. But I do want to try a lot of Japanese stuff I can't easily get or make here in the US. Especislly any desserts that use red bean paste. I gotta try that.

[–] Monster96@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

A few years ago, Burger King was selling Krabby Patties. I missed my one opportunity

[–] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 weeks ago

When I was little, there was a cartoon called Marine Boy, and he had chewing gum that let him breathe under water. I always wanted that.

[–] gnomesaiyan@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Anime food looks amazing. I especially love Dragon Ball Super with all the food Bulma feeds to Goku and friends. Sitting next to Whis eating sushi would be top tier.

[–] KingBoo@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Not cartoon food, but fake.

The Lost Boys food from Hook.

[–] unknown@piefed.social 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Most of the neopets foods. I haven't played in years but I still sometimes scroll through jellyneo just browsing the foods and thinking about how interesting and/or delicious it would be to taste all these strange and wonderful things.
