Isn’t this something like the 100th attempt at making air taxis happen? I guess the idea is too shiny to not attract new money every decade or so.

Yeah, I feel like they're still not practical... yet. But battery energy density is gradually improving, and they will eventually viable. I'm just not sure whether it will be five years or fifty.

Everything with air taxis is estimated to be an order of magnitude more expensive than the ground version. So far it's pretty much like the difference between flying commercial and flying charter. I guess rich people invest in rich boy's toys.

regular folks like you and me can jump into a boat-sized electric pod and just fly anywhere on a whim

It's probably going to be significantly more expensive than regular taxis, which aren't cheap.

That is so cool, you think while you are wondering if you make it through the month with you 15 cents.
