From some brief googling around this seems like it might be a scam company. A year ago they were claiming they had their system producing 5 times the energy it took to run.

Since this article simply repeats the companies claims, it might be wise to wait for some sort of independent verification that they're not just lying through their teeth.

I'd hold off hoping until there is some independent verification by people you know and trust. The only thing I see going for this claim is that it's not extra crazy. They're simply saying they have one type of unit that can run indefinitely in the Mw or Kw range. It doesn't mention the scale of the device.

I find this new era of experimenting with creating fusion power to be very exciting. I love how we’ve moved from having fusion power “maybe someday” to “definitely quite soon”.
