You jest, but unlike dinosaurs, the thylacine's habitat and ecological niche still exist today. They went extinct recently enough that we have videos of the last ones.

Well, that's a sad revelation. Thanks for letting me know that. Now I'm really rooting for them, more so than before. Seriously. No sarcasm at all.

I'm going to be upset when it turns out global warming was a deliberate policy so some oil barons could resurrect dinosaurs.
