I'm curious how the detector would actually work, and also what the result would be in the case where gravity is intrinsically classical.

Since it wasn't clear until I started to watch: This talks about the possibility of semiclassical quantum gravity in specific. They also gave a refresher on the basic problem if needed. Very nice!

Unfortunately it looks at a different experiment, though.
