In the weeks following the surgery, a number of threads retracted from the brain, resulting in a net decrease in the number of effective electrodes.

That doesn't sound great

Yeah, it sounds like they had to tweak some software to better utilize the remaining threads:

In response to this change, we modified the recording algorithm to be more sensitive to neural population signals, improved the techniques to translate these signals into cursor movements, and enhanced the user interface.

I wonder how many threads retracted?

Idk but I’d love to hear an updated statement from the patient to make sure they’re okay and not being held as effective hostage/mute by neuralink/musk and co.

Could care less about the tech. Seems like a luxury we can figure out after we solve the planets inevitable ecosystem collapse. (Climate change, coral reef bleaching, Gulf Stream collapse, etc)

Especially considering how close we are to global war again should Russia decide to invade anything alongside backing from China/korea/India

Appreciate it, doesn't elon own twitter now? Wonder if ModdedQuad has an account anywhere else, in case he were to be censored. Don't see anything since the last live stream he did on the 5th. Hope he's doing alright.
