Hmmm... I love Musk bashing, but honestly "They don't let some POC robots run through a crowd of people fully automatic" sounds, ahem, reasonable?
Plus, I also don't think that they tried to really hide it. It was more about making the immersion as a demo as real as possible in terms of "what could be", no?
