Hi guys,

I am Brazilian living in Germany for 3 years and my Steam Account is still using Brazil as my Store Region.

Because of that, I could not purchase my Steam Deck from it.

(I didn't want to change my store region since the games are cheap in BRL)

Then I created a new Steam Account with Germany as the store region and bought the Steam Deck from there. The purchase went fine, I got my 78k points and I will be waiting for it.

When it arrives I will just log in with my main Steam Account.

Should there be no issues, right?

Thanks :)

Hello everyone Just got my first steam deck and was wondering what’s the best games to play on it I missed last months humble bundle sadly cuz I really wanted to play Terrys turbo and lil gator game on it but I appreciate any recommendations you guys have

Previously enjoyed games: crisis,Batman, Lego games

Preferred genres: indie, fps, simulation. Puzzle games, shooters

Budget: any

Other notes: I’m not picky I will give anything a try I used to buy random bundles from fanatical but I never got anything good so stopped so ended up racking up 700 odd games but most of em arnt compatible

The symptoms: Interval super fast fan speed Blinking white light Screen stays dark

After trying every other soultion online beside return to manufacture, this is the method that worked for me.

Soultion: Let the console battery run completely dry, put the console in a cool place while it does its cycle fan bursting thing. Once the battery is completely depleted, charge the Deck for at least 10-15 minutes. Then turn it on and just let it run. If everything works, your splash screen should appear after a while. Worked for me just now. Hope it’s helpful to others🤟🏾

Hey everyone! Yesterday, we had our full review of Cronos: The New Dawn posted, but we also received our code for Cronos on the Switch 2. So, we took the opportunity to do some direct comparisons between the Switch 2 and Steam Deck to see which one is better to play on.

While this is a Steam Deck subreddit, I thought this would still be interesting to share here. I am working on a video comparison as well, which will be out tomorrow most likely.

I think it's well known that the Steam Deck Verified system is not always accurate. I don't understand why Valve doesn't add the option to tag reviews as "played on Steam Deck" or something. Then the public does the verifying themselves. I could just go to a Steam page filter the reviews to Steam Deck only and then make a decision myself based on the collective feedback.

I played through it probably a year and a half ago and it ran buttery smooth. Locked 40fps and all but I recently factory reset my steam deck so I lost all my settings.

Now I don’t remember what I had on or off but I’m basically playing on normal. With anti aliasing set to mxaa x2. But it was still chugging a lot. So I played around with the tdp and the gpu to see if it gets better and nada.

I then played around with the steam deck FPS lock and found that that’s what might be causing problems since when I lock it fluctuates a lot.

That also didn’t fix my problem though which is I want to play on a locked 40. So then I started switching proton versions.

I first tried proton 7 and proton 6 and they both were pretty much the same. Then I tried proton experimental and that fixed it for me. Now it’s running more like when I first play it a year ago.

I don’t remember switching proton versions for my first playthrough tho so I’m not sure what exactly happened. I do have all the NVIDIA settings off.

Anyways thought it was interesting and would share it here if people get the game.

To make sure the sub isn't flooded with repetitive posts, please discuss the game here.

The store will most likely be less functional for a while, be patient.

Don't post spoilers, or if you see them not tagged properly report them please.

Happy Silksong day everyone.
