The proposed regulation would ban the import and sale of vehicles from China with key communications or automated driving system software or hardware, said the two sources, who declined to be identified because the decision had not been publicly disclosed.
"Experts agree these AI systems are likely to be developed in the coming decades, with many of them believing they will arrive imminently," the IDAIS statement continues. "Loss of human control or malicious use of these AI systems could lead to catastrophic outcomes for all of humanity."
It is compatible with frequencies in the 5G Sub6 band—meaning signals that are less than 6 gigahertz (GHz). Sub6 antennas represent critical portions of a 5G deployment, as their lower frequency ranges penetrate barriers like walls and buildings better than the substantially higher-bandwidth millimeter-wave portions of the 5G spectrum.
