After the first episode I was expecting something like March Comes in Like a Lion & A Silent Voice, halfway through this episode I thought we're going the Re:Zero route, and now I have no idea where we're headed. I suppose the opening animation was a misdirection, I'm curious if it will be different next week.

I watched it as a kid and enjoyed it. Now I can rewatch with nostalgia, but it is a terrible movie haha.

I was very surprised to learn that it was written by L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology.

I thought about marketing costs, but the article specifically calls it out as developmental costs (at least before the paywall). Maybe that term bundles marketing too.

I wonder if they're doing some Hollywood accounting because that seems way too expensive even with hundreds of staff. Maybe I'm out of touch with dev costs though.

Seems like they're specifying non-flying mammals:

The behaviour is interesting because it shows nectar-feeding and pollination by non-flying mammals might be more widespread than currently recognised, and that the ecological significance of these lesser-known pollinators might be more important than we think,” says Lai. “It’s very exciting.

If I'm not mistaken this is at the entrance to Universal in LA. If not, there was one like it there.
