Yea you mentioned divide and conquer then put images of the parliament with and without FPTP. Its easily misinterpreted to say that proportional representation is somehow "divide and conquer".

I know 2nd trump term is terrifying, I'm not denying that this will be worse than his first term, but the difference is that the US has the separation of powers between the states and the federal government. The check and balance within the federal government is gone, but we still have this final line of defence, that is federalism. States can resist tyranny of the federal government, if they have the willingness to do so. Remember, that states run elections, swing states do not all have a republican trifecta. And even in republican trifecta states, there is still the state judiciary, and we might still have some of those non-magas republicans like Raffensperger.
The election in 2026 will likely be less free and fair than 2024, but with a large enough democratic margin of victory, democrats can still take back the house, maybe senate.
Maybe I'm in denial, but I consider this view to be optimism. I thought people like Raffensperger would just cave in and do whatever trump wanted but they didn't.
Don't give up hope. We'll soon see if federalism really works, if states would find the will to resist a tyrannical federal government.

The average voter actually believe trump will make things better. There are people to somehow still believe trump isnt a racist. I don't know whats going on with their brains.
Like, of course there are those who are bigots and want more bigotry in government, but there are also many who are not exactly hateful racists or misogynists, they simply aren't that smart and easily get swayed by social media posts.
Think of them as victims of a scam (well, except that this is a on a much bigger scale and have more serious consequences 🙁)
I mean I don't expect people to forgive them for what they voted for, I mean I personally would have a hard time being around those types of people, but like, would you tell your grandparents: "It's your fault you got scammed"
I feel like a hypocrite for saying this, because on an emotional level, I hate hate everyone who voted for the fascist. But then when I think about the situation with my rational part of my brain, I realize people are just idiots and fall victim to the fascist scam. Its not necessary the person, but its that this is what our species is. A biological machine that although capable of rational thought, can still be easily manipulated.
Yelling at a person and telling them that they are stupid isnt gonna get them out of the scam, but talking to them might.
We aren't in a civil war yet, there might still time for dialogue.

Edit: Another argument for archive.org over wikipedia is that wikipedia is mostly a text based site. archive.org , in contrast, can store photos, videos, software, and various media thay requires more storage. The entire English wikipedia is only about 100GB (excluding videos), but archive.org is probably in the Terabytes or more.
I do basic research, and vote, and then basically ignore the news and wash the sins off of me. I aint responsible for how everyone else voted. I voted, I did my part. If evil wins, that wasn't my fault.
Now I can skim headlines and make jokes in the comments while I wait to see what happens in the future.
Russia isn't gonna nuke us. At most he'll nuke Ukraine. Nuking Ukraine will not lead to western countries nuking Russia, but if russia nukes a nato country, they're dead too.
