It's only a crisis from the POV of endless-growth capitalism. In reality, with AI & robotics doing more and more work, they'll be fine.
Futurology
Demographic crisis for whom
Fewer people should mean more resources for each of us
Robots can soon take care of the elderly and do menial labor
You know it will only work that way if we make it work that way, right? Depopulation doesn’t magically make the wealthy give up their wealth to the rest of us. Robots will eliminate jobs but there will always be menial labor for the have-nots, and the goal of the wealthy is for everyone else to be a have-not.
Honestly, if the world could just slow down for a bit, that would be awesome.
Robots can soon take care of the elderly and do menial labor
Best joke ever.
Tokyo keeps growing, no? Are people migrating there from rural Japan?
Tokyo keeps growing, no? Are people migrating there from rural Japan?
Its the same when any country becomes dominated by one large city. Same with Paris & France & London & Britain.
