Fascinating stuff; I've been wondering about this for a while. Nice to see some movement (so to speak).

Could it also come up with a better acronym than PNAS?

PNAS has been in publication since 1915 and is the second-most-cited scientific journal in the world. I don't think it's going to be changing any time soon.
