Hope she has a daughter who grows the biggest dick you've ever seen. Like Shrek sunbathing.

[–] AceFuzzLord@lemmy.zip 27 points 11 hours ago

Bathing suit underneath or not, what she did was extremely inappropriate and immediately defeats her point.

People like her tell you to think of the children, before setting the absolute worst example for them.

[–] MrSulu@lemmy.ml 15 points 13 hours ago

The next strip shows are scheduled hourly for the following issues that cause her kids to be concerned: Black people (why are they even here), Obesity (curfew if we allow them), Disabled people, people who look Muslim, Jews, Gays (because dividing LGBTQ+ is easier). Tomorrows schedule will be published on her as later.

[–] Sauvandu60@lemmy.ml 31 points 16 hours ago

What a weird thing to do.

[–] Plurrbear@lemmy.world 100 points 22 hours ago (3 children)

Did I read that right?

“Her eldest child came out as trans then non-binary”, so does she hate her own child?

She became vocal AFTER her own child came out? What a monster!

[–] arcterus@piefed.blahaj.zone 36 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

Apparently she's one of those parents' rights psychos who think schools are indoctrinating their kids into becoming trans (or, more accurately, control freaks who feel that they're losing control of their children and then blame the easiest target).

[–] fluffykittycat@slrpnk.net 20 points 14 hours ago

They're fucking child abusers

[–] Plurrbear@lemmy.world 11 points 16 hours ago

Always pushing the blame on others but no one is to “blame”, there’s nothing wrong other than the “mom” being an absolute psychopath!

If I was in that room and she did that I would yell, “MY EYES! MY EYES! Put your damn clothes back on you nut job!” Haha! wtf!

[–] incompetent@programming.dev 48 points 21 hours ago

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

I agree.

[–] sundray@lemmus.org 7 points 18 hours ago

Far too many assholes get radicalized when a relative comes out.

[–] primrosepathspeedrun@anarchist.nexus 63 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

I thought trans people usually wore clothes.

[–] Witchfire@lemmy.world 18 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

I take off my skin suit every now and then when it itches

[–] primrosepathspeedrun@anarchist.nexus 6 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Those things must be awful.

[–] IndridCold@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 hours ago

It's not so bad if I have enough sugar, in water

[–] Mk23simp@lemmy.blahaj.zone 105 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

What even is her point? Is she afraid of AMAB people seeing girls undress because they might be attracted to them? Because, if so, I have news for her about lesbians.

The only way to fix that is to give everyone privacy. Which you probably should be doing anyways.

[–] moopet@sh.itjust.works 7 points 8 hours ago

At this point I don't think she even owns a hinge.

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 36 points 22 hours ago

SHE is the bad news for lesbians.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 93 points 1 day ago (5 children)

She does have a point that it's weird we make teens change clothes, get naked, and shower as a group.

Like, it would be less weird if they did it as children. But waiting until some kids start going thru puberty and then making everyone strip together while an inevitably creepy gym teacher watches with too much interest....

The whole thing is fucking weird.

Like, why can't shower stalls include a changing stall?

Everyone's happy, and nobody's looking or being looked at

Seems like a ridiculously easy problem to solve.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 1 points 9 minutes ago* (last edited 8 minutes ago)

So my school, back in the day, had communal showers, but we weren't required to use them. We had to change in a communal area, but only down to our underwear. Though occasionally in Boy Scouts we did have to use communal showers.

Now apparently this school doesn't require kids to change at all. Honestly, that's nasty. Anyone who's been around teenagers knows they're nasty and sweaty normally, but after gym it's obviously worse. The solution should have been to create private areas or something, not to have them not change clothes at all, so they walk around the rest of the day all nasty.

In my opinion though, communal changing isn't a bad thing. It can actually be good. America already has a weird issue with nudity, and getting rid of the one place where that was slightly challenged I don't think is beneficial in the long run. Short term it's nice, but long term I think it might do more harm than good. Instead we should be trying to make people feel comfortable with who they are, not scared of it. Yeah, it's got some issues, but I think the bad outweighs the good.

[–] fluffykittycat@slrpnk.net 7 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Private stalls for changing and showering should be mandatory and any student should have the eight to use them for any reason

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 5 points 7 hours ago

No, every student should use them. If they’re only optional, you still have the bullies together in a gang to pick on everyone else. You’re singling out people who choose privacy. You’re putting peer pressure on everyone who doesn’t conform.

[–] ZoDoneRightNow@kbin.earth 6 points 16 hours ago (5 children)

Wait what!? Can someone else confirm that this happens over there? That sounds so fake. Surely you have stalls?

[–] Retro_unlimited@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

When I was in middle school, we had rows of lockers and a large shower room with multiple shower heads.

I would change from the PE uniform into the school clothes at my lockers, never once did I shower naked in front of all the others. wtf. They had no privacy at all.

[–] BaldManGoomba@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

2010 locker room and shower room were in the same area all open some people changed in the bathroom area if they felt uncomfortable but showers were open

[–] moopet@sh.itjust.works 3 points 8 hours ago

This was the norm in the UK in the 1980s (my only point of reference as I haven't kept an interest). I can confirm most people didn't really have a problem with it but also that the teacher who supervised spent a few years in prison later on for reasons I can now see were totally related.

[–] Holytimes@sh.itjust.works 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

No stalls. And if you refuses to strip naked and shower you got detention at my school.

The PE teacher was ALWAYS in the fucking locker room too.

The locker room and the shower room at my high school was also the same room. No partitions no privacy. The showers was just a row of shower heads on the far end of the single big square room.

[–] ZoDoneRightNow@kbin.earth 3 points 8 hours ago

That's horrifying

[–] danciestlobster@lemmy.zip 5 points 16 hours ago

I can confirm I had no stalls through school

[–] chaosCruiser 31 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

You know, some cultures are not ok with nudity like this. In those places, you give children the respect and privacy they deserve.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 23 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

Y'all's showers had stalls?

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 8 points 18 hours ago

1980s 7th and 8th-grade showers were basically prison showers for us. Was terrified to have to get naked, but glad it happened.

Despite being a scrawny little fuck (still am), I learned I was packing heat vs. the popular preppies. Nothing to write home about, but I've never been insecure about my penis size.

Also got me over my fear of being seen naked. Now I don't give a fuck. (Part of the IDGAF is middle age.)

[–] WhiteOakBayou@lemmy.world 13 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Some of the high school showers I used were vertical pipes with shower heads pointing horizontally kind of spiraled up to the top. That way like 6 guys could share a shower area that would only be big enough for one guy. At my school we had normal (I guess) open showers with a showerhead and valve handle every 4 feet or so. With those verticle pipe ones just about the whole team could shower at once in the amount of space we used to shower 6 guys in our locker room. Very efficient?

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 12 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

And people ask why I never play sports

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 4 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

We had mandatory gym class in the 80s. Showering was also mandatory.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world -1 points 7 hours ago

Schools really don’t do gym anymore. I think the last time my kids had it was once a week, and I just didn’t see a point. It probably helps that my youngest is an athlete but what good does anyone get from once a week of screwing around?

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 41 points 23 hours ago

I'm not normally one to body shame, but her internal ugliness is showing

[–] lectricleopard@lemmy.world 31 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

Group showering is an institutional practice, providing for the health of the worker, with little consideration to his/her own desires or comfort. Jails/mines/factories have historically required showering to make sure they could keep working.

Schools are modeled after these institutions. The powerful people of this country see people as economic assets, and nothing else.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 minutes ago

I don't think that's why. I think it's just because it's cheaper. My school had communal showers, but we didn't use them (sports teams did though). The inky ones I ever used were at Boy Scout camps. I'm pretty sure it's because it used to not be considered a big deal, and it's saves a lot of money. Honestly, I think it's an issue it has become such a big issue. Most countries aren't so uptight about nudity. It's an American thing to be scared of nudity.

[–] moopet@sh.itjust.works 2 points 8 hours ago

Which country?

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 30 points 1 day ago (2 children)

? . . . okay, so had she continued she'd have been naked (presumably) and . . . ? what.

[–] kikutwo@lemmy.world 16 points 23 hours ago

Several people would have vomited.

[–] sundray@lemmus.org 3 points 18 hours ago

... she would have kept talking.

[–] tal@olio.cafe 20 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago) (1 children)

Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence in society.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 6 points 18 hours ago

I can certainly influence people to cross the street when they see my naked ass walking toward them.

[–] sircac@lemmy.world -3 points 10 hours ago (2 children)

I don't see how communal showers can be available to minors...

[–] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 9 points 7 hours ago

Children don't know that being naked with other people is wrong until we teach them self-loathing. If we just stopped, being naked would be normal and natural and there would be nothing sexual or perverse about it. It's all adult projection of iourfear and self-loathing.

[–] moopet@sh.itjust.works 6 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

They were the norm when I was a kid, though that was a long long time ago. I didn't realise they'd have changed. Does everyone have like a separate shower stall now? Because if so, that makes this even more unhinged.

[–] Rekorse@sh.itjust.works 3 points 6 hours ago

I might just not have had a real "gym" class, but we just didnt shower after. I was sweaty the rest of the day til I got home.
