One of the points of a rooster is that it protects its flock. I've known some farmers that would complain their rooster isn't aggressive enough.

Gonna guess by the username "PNWGuerilla" this is one of those last American redoubt chuds that love the tradshit aesthetic but can't actually do any of the work right.

Amazing minds at work.

I don't know shit about chicken farming, but I assume you can still eat rooster meat. I also don't know shit about guns, but I assume blowing away a rooster with a 12 gauge severely limits its ability to be food.

Won't be anything usable, so he's out a shotgun shell and a rooster

iirc mostly as a stew meat, if at all.

Literal psychopath shit.

Sounds like a skill issue with the chicken farmer, and probably the nephew was being a little shit to the chicken and deserved a peckin'.

Mfw an animal behaves as such and isn't born a completely subservient, obedient robot

I'm a city slicker and even I understand that you do not mess with roosters

this an am*rican thing? getting "vengeance" on an animal 1/100th your size because it disrespected you?
when i was a kid i got attacked by a rooster and he just got like shooed away, attacking things that get close to the flock is kinda his job

strong omni human needs a giant powerful murder weapon to "revenge kill" a tiny little bird and then brag about it online

tiny corn-eating bird uses only the claws and beak that nature gave him to rightfully defend himself agaist the humans that imprisoned him and his kin, knowing it's a futile battle

There are more chickens than people on earth. They could take this place any time they want

I'd forgotten about this, but when I was small, I was literally the child in this situation. I got attacked by a rooster, my dad shot it and we ate it.

Fuck. That's a weird memory. One of many early indoctrinations into speciesist thinking that it's taken me years and years to unlearn.
