I think Dems failing to ever grow a spine is a pretty safe bet, yeah. Or they'll do the same shit they did after Trump's first term and slow walk any sort of prosecution thinking that timing it closer to an election will help them, and then run out of clock and step on the rake.

Dawg you ostensibly control the LAPD. One of the largest armed forces in the US.

Obviously they have no desire to wield power, particularly in this instance, but it is beyond frustrating watching them physically recoil from it.
