I drove trucks for a while and the amount of people with screens on is rediculous and that not counting the amount eating and putting on makeup.
Fun fact there is literally no scientific backing to field sobriety tests. In fact there is a lot of scientific evidence proving they don’t work.

Yeah, why not use a breath analyzer or something. I am a drunk and could do those test really wasted.
Because it’s harder for cops to discriminate against dark skinned people if they use objective measurements.

No, there's no scientific backing to really confidently say that no two fingerprints are alike. That doesn't change that we can identify them and match them.
If you observe that fingerprints can be matched, that's all you need to know.
Now lie detectors don't work at all...
That's interesting. Any recommended ones? If I had to guess its a lot easier to find flaws in something than it is to prove it 100% right.
As I understand it, these tests are trying to get more data on if the driver is severely intoxicated or has major motor function issues.
You can always take your chances on a blood test...

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may be able to refuse a field sobriety test and opt for a chemical test (breath or blood) instead with no penalty. That's the case in my state and many others.
You can also generally refuse a chemical test as well, but doing so will likely get your license suspended.
But check your local laws to be sure.
Refuse field breathalyzers if allowed and have them use the big one at the station. The field ones are super inaccurate.
In Australia, that's always how it's done.
Portable breathalyzer doesn't really mean anything, but if you blow over you're down to the station to do it in the real machine and if you blow there, it's off to hospital to get a blood test, the blood test is the evidence used in court.
