Not to mention Yellow Split and Yellow Split Peas are apparently different things too.
Also, I don't know for sure how many of these are true beans, but definitely not any of the lentils or split peas. Lots of lovely legumes though, yum!

The Bean app is about as old as that post, and it takes longer to make an app than it does a meme/post, so I do believe the Bean app came first..
