It’s bizarre to think how much this ‘AI revolution’ holds similarities to the introduction of the internet: the market bubble, the over-saturation of adoption by companies without any actual strategy for system integration, the whole general over-hype. I remember in high school and uni discussing with my parents how I couldn’t fathom studying computer science without the internet; I’m sure the kids in the future will be saying the same about AI.

I just don't see anything all that valuable surviving this bubble. Not yet.
tbf, they said they same thing about computers and the internet.
The US is also heading for a debt crisis. I wonder when the stock market crash comes, will Trump's attempts to 'fix' it be what finally ends the dollar's day as world reserve currency?
It probably won't be a singular crash. The .com bust really had no singular crash, more like a series of economic issues spanning 6+ years working themselves out. Plenty of stocks that were $200/share limped along at $10/share until the Great Recession consolidated everything into monopolies and oligopolies with 0% interest loans and no antitrust enforcement.
Crypto seems similar...a very large bubble, placing value on something that has no actual intrinsic value nor substance.
well yeah, it currently cant do anything and we are supposed to make sure we never trust it with anything....
... worth trillions....
100% true.
No shit?
