Felix was right when he said asking an undecided voter is like asking a labrador retriever about their ideas on tax policy

One time I was at a restaurant with my wife and we could overhear the young couple behind us. This was during the first trump election. He was obviously on a first date with this girl and he tried to impress her by saying stuff like "yeah, I vote for the guy with the most American sounding name". She was not impressed to say the least.

I always have good luck watching people on dates at restaurants.

ALL HAIL KING BOOKER X100

Queen Sharmell and King Booker are the only Hexbear-approved royals

I believe there's a certain degree of alienation from institutions that breed apathy and mental shortcuts. When voting feels so removed from your material reality, and things seem to get better/worse almost randomly, voting for a person thousands of miles away who has no idea who you are or what you need boils down to vibes.

I have a problem with representative democracy, but mass direct voting wouldn't change a lot, even under a socialist state.
