The STS, aka Space Shuttle, had the same issue. There's no good way to abort a launch if something goes wrong soon after liftoff.

The solution is to launch the Starship uncrewed, fill up its fuel tanks with some number of tanker launches, and when its tanks are full enough for the mission to Mars or Moon, then use a different rocket to deliver astronauts to Starship in LEO.

While SpaceX has a long way to go, this article is speculative inflammatory hogwash.
