I’ve been wondering for a long time when communication with computers via voice interaction is going to take off, so it's interesting to look at this. Many people’s first thoughts might be to see the limitations - how can you read emails? But if your personal AI can read them for you & tell you what is in them, is that so important? Especially if you have AR working alongside the voice.

This is one of those products that could completely flop or be a wild success; it's impossible to guess which in advance. In previous demos, its AR system looked relatively crude and low resolution. Especially compared to what we see in sci-fi movies. But it's the product's first iteration.

There's a lot to be said for the efficiency of interaction with AI through this approach. I suspect if Humane's Pin product doesn't crack this, then someone else will.

This is not AR? And even if it was, AR systems still suffer from the same limitations.

Anyways, GPT and co. can be used for a number of things. For none of these do you need another device that is also worse than a smartphone.

License with Star Trek to make it in the shape of the communicator badge and l'll buy it.
