FYI for anyone not in the know, this is the Good Good Good Newspaper advertised by Hank Green

It only consists of "good" news and is very uplifting - generally every print edition features some kind of theme like "animals" or "medicine" or "art"

If you can afford to support, I think it's a great way to encourage more uplifting news in our world

Well, that turned sour quickly.
If you click "newsletter" it's just text about it, no link or anything to sign up on that page. So you click "subscribe" in the menu and it says "digital - free" but when you make and account it then tells you only the first one is free, after that it's $5 a month, and they need your payment information to even get the free one. I understand they need to make money, but don't lie and say something is free when it isn't. There was absolutely nothing saying it isn't free before you make your account and it sends you directly to add payment info. Not good, left immediately and won't be back.

Edit: I tried it in another browser and now see small grey text saying it's $5 a month below the big "Digital - Free". That feels consciously designed to make you miss it.

Personally I give them credit for not (as far as I can tell) having articles behind a paywall, and having a working rss feed, though dark patterns are always a minus

Just subscribe and signed up to get physical copies too. This is what I need in my life.

Hank Green is cool but my favourite has always been his cousin Tom. He helped the save the lonely Swedish after all
