Overview:

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

While recording everything said in the vehicle to be sold.

Fuck Hyundai.

lol they all do, this is nothing specific to Hyundai, if you want to rein it in you'll need regulations

Or live in Europe. We already have these regulations enforced.

Blame your country and its absolute lack of consumer protections. You'd never see this in Europe, and asia for the most part

According to Hyundai’s policies that drivers agree to both when they buy the vehicle and when they install and use the Hyundai app.

Oh and Mozilla foundation have done a couple of good write ups on it.

Hyundai records all conversations in vehicles they sell, they then sell those recordings to other companies to train AI.

Sounds like a couple of needles in the microphones could disable that. I can't think of the last time I used voice commands in my car, particularly the garbage ones built into the car. Maybe car phone calls, but even those are a seldom occurrence.
