It's the Internet during US elections.

Even outside the elections, it is far too US-centric. I mean, it is lemmy.world after all.

I'm sorry if I sound more pissed off than I actually am, but it is indeed quite a bit annoying.

You and me both, but I think it's up to us to publish content that's not us-centric.

[–] MataVatnik@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

Exactly, it's an open platform everyone can participate

Unfortunately, the fate of the world kinda rests on the outcome of this election. From Ukraine and Israel at a minimum, to severe climate change and WW3 at the extreme end. I hate it too, but this is just too big to ignore.

I wonder if there can be more than one important issue effecting our future at a time...

[–] demesisx@infosec.pub 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Pick any issue and both Trump and Kamala are on the wrong side of it.

A 20% tariff on imported goods?

More tax breaks for the rich?

Come on man. Harris is against those.

So being for a tax break for the rich is wrong. And being against a tax break for the rich is wrong? What other option even is there?

[–] RandomGuy79@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Yes and the us runs a good chunk of it
