Happy New Year everyone!

I'm working on a game called Erenshor. Erenshor is a "Simulated MMORPG" where you can enjoy all of the MMORPG gameplay and features that you love, in a single player, offline environment. The other players on your server are run by (Non-LLM) AI. Right now the game runs with approximately 100 other "players" in your game, all of which you can talk to, group with, raid with, and trade with.

Video: In December I put out a development update that you can see here, where I go over what's new in the game, what's coming next, and show some footage of areas beyond the demo.

I'm a solo developer, and for the past 20 years this has been my dream project. I've been working on it officially for the past 4 years, every single day. Lately it's really been coming to life in a lot of ways - the Erenshor community is an incredible group of folks who are supportive, friendly, and many are helping to test the game. (Testers are getting 100-130 hours or so out of the of content as it stands now)

Video: There's a trailer for the game here for any who'd like to check that out.

I'm currently gearing up for early access release in the next few months (date TBD, testers are doing their thing still). Early access will include those 100+ hours of content I mentioned, and then regular updates as raid content and endgame content is added into the game.

There's been some neat new updates to the demo in the past few months, including the ability to tell your SimPlayers which gear to equip for an encounter. As you give them gear or they acquire their own gear, they'll store their old items for this purpose. Example Pic.

I've also been focusing on world building for the release build, including a new area called "Prielian Cascade" where a band of outlaws has holed up and are researching, capturing, and breeding the fearsome animals of Erenshor to export to other places for profit. Here's some pics of the in-development zone:

Pic 1, Pic 2, Pic 3

Additionally, I'm at the point in my design process where it's time to make a 'second pass' over all of the game zones to beautify, add lore, add flavor, and add content. I've recently done Port Azure, which is the game's main city. Here's some pics of the city:

Town Square

Gossip in the tavern

As always. a Wishlist on the steam page goes a long long way to supporting the project. There's a demo if you'd like to play around with it a bit, and of course, we have a discord! (not sure if i can link that here) and we'd love to have you there.

I'm here all afternoon to chat if anyone has comments or questions!

Brian

🎮 Steam/Wishlist

Hey r/Games,

I’m excited to share some big news—Katanaut’s demo is officially on the way! Play testing just wrapped up, and I’ve submitted the demo to Steam for verification. Once that’s done, the demo will be live for everyone to try!

Katanaut is an action-roguelite where you play as a katana-wielding astronaut fighting to survive on a space station gone horribly wrong. It’s fast-paced, challenging, and there’s a huge variety of off-hand weapons, skills, perks, and implants to experiment with. Every run gives you the freedom to build your character in unique ways, combining fast-paced action with plenty of strategic depth. You’ll slice through enemies, unlock upgrades, and adapt to chaos as the station descends further into madness.

If you’re into roguelites, faster-paced games, technical combat, and tons of customization options, I’d love for you to check it out when the demo launches.

Hi! I'm the solo-indie developer of AETHUS, a chill sci-fi, physics-driven survival/base-building game, which I'm making pretty much on my own after leaving AAA after ~7 years, at studios like Rockstar North. I wanted to make a survival game that wasn't about combat, but about chill take-at-your-own-pace exploration, and a compelling narrative to drive you forward.

☑ Key Features:

  • Descend into the depths of an alien planet - Aethus - to mine for valuable resources in a tactile, physicalised world powered by Unreal Engine 5.
  • Utilise both your mining laser and explosives to gather resources, then Prospect your finds to discover the rarest ores and gem to package up according to demand in order to sell for maximum profit.
  • Construct your own outpost from the ground-up using the resources you mine from the planet, building highly customisable habitats to extend your reach underground, explore mysterious new biomes, and automate your gameplay.
  • Discover and purchase new plans for a wealth of habitats, facilities, furniture and decorations before using creative building and terraforming tools to create your perfect cosy and functional base.
  • After an expedition, process your haul back at base by constructing numerous types of facilities to refine raw materials, smelt and synthesise products, and craft new items!
  • Sell products to the Corporation to earn credits, then Upgrade your equipment to unlock powerful new abilities to aid in your mining efforts.
  • Experience a compelling dystopian narrative as you attempt to escape the grasp of your former employer, a planet-controlling, ultra-capitalist megacorp - ARC.

📽 The latest trailer shows a bunch of new features like hydroponic farming for food and crafting ingredients! I absolutely HATE making trailers (I love making the game!) so I hope it comes across OK!

🎮 The new demo lets you play the first 1-2 hours of the game as you set up your mining outpost on the surface of an alien planet and start delving into the depths of the caverns below it, and an introduction to the dystopian sci-fi narrative which drives the game forward! Oh, and it features a Scottish AI mining drone companion, so what's not to love?

✅ If you like what you see, consider giving the game a Wishlist on Steam! Every single one helps a solo-indie like me! 🙏

📣 I'd love to hear what you think about the game, either in the comments or perhaps 'face to face' on the Discord! - I really like getting any and all feedback, so I'd love to hear from you.

Hi r/Games

VORONis a story-driven adventure game about a raven with an important task: guiding lost souls to their new home. Learn how to fly and live as a raven, starting as a young chick and growing into a mythical bird from legends. Explore a tiny open world inspired by Norse myths. Help your family and lost souls. Solve puzzles from the unique view of a raven and don’t forget to croak sometimes — that’s what ravens do, right?

Gameplay Features:

  • You play as a raven, and yes, there's a button to croak!
  • Experience the freedom of flight with unique controls that evolve and change as you play, keeping each moment exciting and fresh, for example - only you decide when to flap or fold your wings!
  • An emotional story about living as a raven who is constantly connected to death — sometimes it's strangers, and sometimes it's someone very close. But don’t be misled; the world of VORON, inspired by Norse mythology, offers an unusual perspective on life and death.
  • At the beginning, you won’t fully understand some characters, as they speak in “Souls Language.” You’ll gradually learn this language by interacting with NPCs and exploring the world.
  • Hidden Story: For players who enjoy finding secrets, a deeper meaning awaits discovery by exploring the world.

Steam (free demo available):

Trailer

VORONwas inspired by games like "Journey”, “The pathless”, “AER: Memories of old”.

If you like what you see, please consider to wishlist VORON it really helps a lot with steam algorithms!

Hi, I am Daniel, working in a team of two on a space-sim and strategy game - Space Reign, which is inspired by titles such as Homeworld, Freespace, Battlestar Galactica and The Expanse. It is currently in Early Access on Steam we have just released a Major Update, introducing even bigger ships - heavy frigates and destroyers, as well as new sectors to play in and a new enemy faction to play against.

Chapter II Trailer:

Steam Page (recently updated):

Discord server

General information: An indie space-sim and strategy game featuring ship and fleet combat mixed with RTS elements. Complete contracts and Claim sectors for your faction in the near-future, where resource exploiting corporations are in a state of constant conflict over territory control.

Regarding scope: It is much smaller than games such as X4 Foundations, focusing mainly on fleet loadouts and combat without complex economic or empire management mechanics.

Main features:

  • Direct unit control - control any ship in your fleet manually and switch between them anytime
  • 1st Person for Fighters
  • 3rd Person for Large Ships
  • Fleet Command - Issue orders from a RTS-like view, organize and manage your fleet ship by ship.
  • Ship customization - Eech ship you buy can be customized weapon by weapon, with additional options such as modules to come later

Feedback and Wishlists much appreciated!
