Hello I switched to Linux a few months ago and one thing I liked doing in the past is run bench marks with 3dmark to compare my systems as time goes on with the changes I make.

I learned about phoronix test suite and it looks exactly like what I need but I'm having some trouble in finding a way to compare my systems to other people's similar setups.

So far I got something like

Monitor=cpu.usage,cpu.temp,gpu.usage,gpu.temp phoronix-test-suite benchmark unigine-heaven

But then I only see the tests that I run, does anyone know what test and the command to ve able to compare other people's systems on openbenchmarking.org

I boarded and took a ship during a quest and flew to New Atlantis. I saved the game and stopped playing for the night only to find the ship left me when I loaded up that save the next day.

I currently have an Unraid server running at home for my personal files as well as some game servers and as a media server.

I have a second machine that I use at a different location that has VPN setup to home so I can work on my projects remotely. I would like to use the second machine to also take backups of my personal files and my docker configs etc.

the second machine is running Pop!OS currently and I have several drives installed. the Issue is I was trying to create a storage pool with ZFS but apparently Pop!OS is like the only distro that doesnt like ZFS.

should I re-image my remote machine to another OS? or should I try and create a pool with something else? I have two 6TB drives and three 2TB drives that I can use, I have some more installed on there but dont really need that much space.

I used to use windows on my second machine and would just connect my shares from unraid as smb and backup with bvckup2 to a windows storage space of all the drives combined. Now I switched to linux and would like to do something similar.

My idea was to combine the similar drives into vdevs and a big pool with ZFS then run luckybackup but that derailed when I tried and failed because of Pop!OS

CrowdStrike effectively bricked windows, Mac and Linux today.

So I switch between playing games from my desk and my couch. I have a long HDMI cable that runs from my desktop to my tv. before I would use a bluetooth keyboard and a bluetooth mouse when playing from the couch with a little table or with a xbox 360 controller.

recently we had a baby and she sleeps a bit less now but still for a few hours at a time during the day. now I feed her and she will fall asleep on me so sometimes I dont really want to move much after she falls asleep but I got pretty into farthest frontier which needs a keyboard and mouse to play. but with baby on my chest I cant really use the desk and a keyboard and mouse is kind of tough to use, the mouse likes to slide around which scrolls the view

I started looking up solutions and ended up finding the elecom relacon trackball mouse

I just got it today and was playing a bit of elder scrolls oblivion with it and it works pretty well

on my left hand I am using my quefrency split keyboard half

which isnt bad but then I found the Azeron cyborg after going down a rabbit hole on gaming keypads like the razer tartarus and logitech g13. I watched a few youtube videos and the idea of the thumb stick sounded very good for movement so I was sold on the azeron. Im excited to try it and believe that is the best to use for my left hand.

I found a promising looking gyro mouse from some guys but there hasnt been any updates on the project

I would like somthing like a joycon mixed with a steam touch controller but i cant find anything. is anyone using any strange gaming methods like this? that has found something that works well

Does anyone know if there is a device that let's you combine two video inputs and then outputs one split screen view.

I've read some tvs have that feature but I don't have the option on mine so maybe there is a separate device that can do it.

The goal is to be able to play split screen the games me and the wife used to play but from the couch now that we have a baby gaming at our desk isn't really a thing anymore so I'm thinking split screen with xbox controllers would be nice

After the latest dev update on Android, while scrolling down my feed I get stuck over a post and then I'm unable to scroll up or down or select a post. The only way to get out of it is to change the feed filter like from top six hour to top hour then that will get stuck so I have to switch back

Hello I am using crunchbang plus plus on a dell/wyse 5470 thin client and I want to add a OpenBox menu item to turn on and off my wireguard vpn with the sudo wg-quick up wg0 and sudo wg-quick down wg0 commands

currently I have

but nothing happens when I click them, also I tried with sudo in the command name and it didnt work either and Im not sure how it would ask for my password from a menu command? is this even possible?

Just curious of how many players here have gone through the main story already to gauge how bad spoilers are at this point
