Is there anything iphones can do besides scroll social media? Every time I hear about some cool new capability of phones this caveat is always present.

I'm in the same boat. I fucking hate modern cars. There are no acceptable options so I just walk and use public transit... the data collection is so extensive I feel uncomfortable even catching a ride in a friends car.

To my knowledge, there is no way to compile android apps on android, which is the type of development I want to do. If you can figure that out (assuming you have any interest in that) I would be ecstatic. Probably would require using nix's cross-compilation options.
