That's something that Disney regularly has a problem with. They used to find interesting, compelling stories that writers were excited to create.

Now, most of their films are being pushed from the top to expand their known IPs or messaging. The story has become secondary to the product.

Bob Iger said just a couple years back that they had a few flops with new ideas and we're going to focus on existing IPs and brands. He's leading Disney into a second direct to home video sequel era. Just like the one that nearly killed the company in the 80s.

Disney is riding high on nostalgia and brand recognition but is quickly burning their capital of good will. The youngest generation isnt getting that same nostalgia that's going to turn them into Disney fans like the 90s kids had. We're 30 something's with a bit of disposable income, and Disney is bleeding us dry after making us their primary demographic. They no longer cater to families, and they no longer are looking to make new, young fans.

It's honestly depressing to see how much that company has fallen. I got hired to work at Disneyland back in 2008 and spent 8 years of my life trying to bring happiness to the guests that came there. I agreed with and worked hard to bring their message to life. But in my time there, and since, I've seen a continual shift from taking care of their employees, making it a great place to work, and to make the best entertainment they can.

“Why shouldn’t federal troops empower the people in Chicago to live safe lives when the governor and the local mayor (Brandon Johnson) just simply refuse to do their job?” -Vance

What he's saying is "why shouldn't we be able to unilaterally make decisions for the people of a City in direct opposition to those individuals will and what they voted for? And why shouldn't we be able to use force and violence to do it?"

I can only hope there is justice in this world and he gets to face a jury and is held accountable for his words and actions.

"a career criminal with a rap sheet dating back to 1980s"

What a shitty way for ICE to refer to someone WRONGFULLY CONVICTED AND IMPROSONED since the 1980s.

He isn't a career criminal. He isn't a career anything. He had the opportunity to have a career stolen from him.

They were going to do it anyway. Shut down or not.

They planned for either option and we the people are losing our. Either passing the CR or shutting down the government.

It's so disingenuous. Their employment is way up and their interactions with people, both those they are targeting and the general public are way up.

If I were literally any company, if I increased my workforce by over 1000% I'd expect anything happening to them to increase by at least 1000%.

Most of the oddities is due to focal length and not AI. Everything looks real to me, it's just a weird angle and photographed with probably an actual camera and not a phone.

Parallax depends on the focal length of the lens, and distance from the photographer. This looks real to me.

I'd wager it's more likely staged with a wife of an ice agent and a photographer than AI.

If you don't do any harm. All the theater goers know your about to light it and can leave if they don't want to be there and it's done as a form of protest.

Why do you keep using an example where its potentially significantly dangerous?

You can keep doing what-about-isms all day. This was a clear first amendment protected act and the charges are being used to punish political speech.

No. You cannot.

The act explicitly was done in protest. As an act of first amendment protected speech, as flag burning was explicitly determined to be by the supreme court.

The application of these laws is purely political. Used solely because the object burned was the flag. Intent is always included in prosecuting criminal acts. It is often the determining factor in whether laws even apply.

Burning a flag a California forest is a false equivalency. And for the most part, yes, you could go out into the forest and burn a flag. It would be stupid and you would be liable for any damages you caused if it started a wildfire. You wouldn't be prosecuted just for burning the flag.

The entire premise on first amendment speech applying here is super important, because if you can make it criminal to do something related, like starting a fire at all, you have, in effect, made that act of free speech illegal. This is crucial. Fundamental.

I remember that image/gif.

Line up back wheels with rear of the car you are packing behind.

Cut the wheel all the way to turn towards the curb and back up.

When 45° to the curb, turn the wheel the other way to go straight.

If necessary, straighten out as needed.

That gets like, 90% of whatcha need to do. Your individual car might change it a little based on turning radius, but it's not that hard. A little practice and you'll know where your rear curbside tire is and how long your hood is.
