Sorry, I could have expressed myself more clearly. All I meant to say is, based on this website, you don't see them recommending ANY type of Linux distro, but they recommend Fedora at the top of the page and Arch.

It's not that they are against other Linux distros, but then they share their reasons for recommending those 2 specifically

I don't work in IT or anything, but if I had to guess, they are just following what privacy guides say. Here's an excerpt:

Arch Linux is a lightweight, do-it-yourself (DIY) distribution, meaning that you only get what you install. For more information see their FAQ.

But they recommend Fedora before that.

P.S: I don't condone it, just trying to shed some light as to why.

Not sure if I am following the sarcasm, I made it very clear I think AI's purpose is hyperinflated, and it is a bubble as well, I was just saying it is not completely useless.

IT does give a LOT of false information, but for simple stuff it saves time, that I will not deny.

Well written response. There is an undeniable huge improvement to LLMs over the last few years, and that already has many applications in day to day life, workplace and whatnot.

From writing complicated Excel formulas, proofreading, and providing me with quick, straightforward recipes based on what I have at hand, AI assistants are already sold on me.

That being said, take a good look between the type of responses here -an open source space with barely any shills or astroturfers (or so I'd like to believe) - and compare them to the myriad of Reddit posts that questioned the same thing on subs like r/singularity and whatnot. It's anecdotal evidence of course, but the amount of BS answers saying "AI IS GONNA DOMINATE SOON" ; "NEXT YEAR NOBODY WILL HAVE A JOB", "THIS IS THE FUTURE" etc. is staggering. From doomsayers to people who are paid to disseminate this type of shit, this is ONE of the things that mainly leads me to think we are in a bubble. The same thing happened/ is happening to crypto over the last 10 years. Too much money being inserted by billionaire whales into a specific subject, and in years they are able to convince the general population that EVERYBODY and their mother is missing out a lot if they don't start using "X".

MOFO is recording a reality show 24/7. Everything he does seems one of those cringy episodes from E! or MTV shows from the 2000-2010s.

If I'm not mistaken, the first time he met with Zelensky he was caught saying "this will make good television" or something like that. Now, what is the exact goal with this? I don't know... Seems conservative low IQ people like to consume their politics as entertainment programs and that keeps them hooked?

KEXP radio, lemongrass kombucha and grilled coalho cheese (kind of like cheese curds... but different, it's a Brazilian thing).

The radio I found out about it today, despite playing a plethora of different styles, I'm quite impressed how the curation is of excellent quality.

God of War (PS2) - ROM Bios files should be all these here.

Sorry for the long wait, holiday periods are a mess for me.

EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work straightaway. I was reading into the comments, and it seems emulating PS2 is a bit of a hassle, specially since there are different behaviors for this specific emulator depending on the version.

I understand finding these things funny when you are a cool, level-headed person or not in a moment of fight or flee situation, but many of us fall prey to dumb reasoning in emotional situations.

Going slightly off-topic, but I'd wager many people have spent a lot of unnecessary money or gone to jail in the heat of the moment. And many of Sun Tzu's or Lao Tzi's (Tao) advice is like: "stop, breathe, and think it through mofo, stop being an impulsive idiot and paying a high price for it"

[–] berrodeguarana@lemmy.eco.br 2 points 2 years ago (2 children)

No shit, really? You're the man.

The emulator is called AetherSX2.

Now, for ROMs... I'd gladly share the link for one here on Lemmy, but idk if I'd be violating any rules

I try to remind myself that, in the great scheme of things (i.e, evolution) a "step forward, two steps back" is a common thing in this chaotic universe of ours.

Meteors, dinosaurs, civil wars, capitalism issues, pandemics, murder, genocide, climatic changes... it's all accounted for.

Of course, the answer is different if you are suffering directly from these things (apart from the meteors and dinosaurs) I mentioned above, then things suddenly get VERY personal and provoke impulsive reactions from our end.

Makes sense. People think they are the center of the universe when companies only see you as an additional cog in the machine. I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad by this. I'll choose the positive side of things today.

Stupid question, wasn't that a risky move? I mean, the way I was raised to think by my parents I can hear their voices in the back of my head if I went through a situation like this, similar to this:

"But aren't you worried they might hire you then fire you just out of spite for switching companies? And then what are you gonna do?"
