I don't use Safari but you can try making sure all of the extensions are up to date.

That was because Unity was going to charge them for every install regardless of new purchase, reinstall, or different platforms. Unity has backed down from that now.

Youtube has started to artificially slow down video load times if you use Firefox in c/mildlyinfuriating@lemmy.world

I would have thought the exact same thing. I like having videos play in the background so I wouldn't have looked into it anyway.
