I definitely agree with some of this like avoiding EU and NATO but Mullvad is kinda the best of bad options and theyve been audited and shown to not log. If you know of a better alternative pls share it id love to get a better one. But if your advovating to not use a VPN thats a bit self defeatist. And different encryption methods are definitely more resistant to quantum computers cracking them. Are they magic and perfect? Of course not but theyre a lot harder to crack then the more basic encryption some people still use. Your basically stalling the stronger encryption you use the longer you have til those data packets get decrypted. The goal being to push that date so far to the future it doesnt matter cuz your dead.

I think your view is a bit warped too. Capitalism definitely works to spy on people but one thing capitalism will always do is reserve certain privledges for people with money. One of those is privacy. Its elitism at its most pure. Dont want the government spying on you? Pay a premium.

Also the open encryption standards are exactly how you can be secure in a service like this. The company uses open source standards so we know there arent any backdoors. You can even set it up to use open source apps through openvpn when you set the connection up. So even in a case where the VPN is logging your traffic all theyd see is your IP, and the IP of whatever your connecting to. The actual traffic would still be encrypted. So even if you dont trust the audits that say they dont log its worth having.

My laptop has a microsd card reader that when filled is almost flush so i just keep a micro sd card in there and have timeshift back up to it. Partitioned with full disk encryption so it cant just be stolen and scanned.

Everyone should have been using quantum secure encryption already. Mullvad VPN uses quantum secure tunnels. Yes you already need it. They are already storing encrypted traffic to decrypt later. Stay safe comrades.

ya i also use gnome and kinda just wish the customizations were built in. but i have to say idk what it is but gnome just seems to feel so much smoother. Like its animations, and app switching experience. I think its way of doing things is perfect for a laptop, and i prefer closer to the typical windows layout for a desktop. On a laptop the screens a bit small so i auto hide the dock, and hide the top bar and just run everything in full screen. If i wanna check the time or access top bar menus i just tap the super key real quick then tap it again when im done. I use pretty few extensions, but i do worry sometimes ill get fucked by an update lol. So far so good tho for me.

Because christians literally forcibly converted everyone they could, and killed anyone who refused. Also it didnt die completely. Most people just worshipped in secret, and in some more rural areas it survived. Aswell as mixing with the christians culture and influencing them. Like Santa Claus is just Odin. A lot of Jesus's associations came from Apollo because Apollo was super popular in the roman empire and had lots of temples and when the romans converted them to churches a lot of the preists were like ok well im a preist of apollo thats what i know how to do so ill just keep doing what i always did but say jesus now instead. Laurel wreath on head, frankincense, etc. All Apollo things.

Most holidays trace their roots back pre-christian too. Christmas, Halloween, Easter, all can be traced back to old pagan traditions.

A big part of like christianity in general is converting others. Not all religions are like that most arent actually not even all christian sects are. Its why it spread so far cuz people who follow it actively try to spread it. Even today religious christian groups travel around the world trying to convert people. In areas they colonized they did the same, convert, or die tactics.

Im kinda baffled. I use lutris for launching windows games in linux and for the longest time now its worked great. Well i was playing a game and it was working fine. i closed it went and did some other stuff for an hour or so and came back. When i went to launch it suddenly its throwing errors about needing umu to launch proton even tho proton worked just fine not an hour ago. I think ok ive had issues with flatpacks before. Let me uninstall the flatpack and get the system package. I do so and now proton doesnt even appear as an option in the configure menu. I googled around and i cant find any similar issue. The thing that really baffles me is it just seems to have stopped working for no reason. I didnt update anything, didnt change anything. The Lutris on my desktop still works perfectly fine too. Its just the one on my laptop doesnt want to use proton now? Anyone experienced this and know whats up? The umu thing it mentioned at first would need to be compiled from the github and i know thats not something Lutris normally needs since i have had it working without doing that and currently do on my desktop. I guess i could manually install it anyway but i worry itll just make things worse.

Edit: Its suddenly working again i have no idea why
