They're doing it here in WA too! It's nice to see. Seems to be a bit more of a patchwork quilt here, but still good :)

It's cool tech, but mine broke in two years after being extremely careful with it. The ribbon connector gave out, which is a 20¢ fix. Unfortunately, Samsung doesn't allow repair shops to replace ribbon cables though, so the shops have to replace both screens and the ribbon connector that connects them. That costs $600, hilariously.

I bought a moto G Stylus for $250 and decided that it was close enough for a fraction of the price to repair or buy new.

Absolutely sucks, but these are also some of the wealthiest homeowners in the US. Cut your losses and move to less vulnerable areas. Nobody should be building homes in flood plains, lake beds or fire prone areas, particularly the ultra-wealthy. Save FAIR for normal folks and low income families.

I don't know if you wanna do that. PP is probably going to start eating Canada within the next election cycle, in October. Though the status of France (National Rally), Germany (AfD), Italy, Hungary, and the UK (Nigel Farage is up to shit) worries me a lot. Short term (20 years), I think we are going to see many of our friends and allies regressing until we either slowly beat them back, or have a giant world war.

We should all support each other, but also be clear-eyed that times of plenty and peace might be temporarily behind us because so many people are bored.

I have no problem with it, but it sounds like an exhausting way of making money.

You can switch to loose leaf. I thought loose leaf sucked because the tea bits always got in it. Then I found a metal filter that has like, 180nm holes in it. Extremely fine mesh.

I use it more than paper tea bags now!

Check his art out! I'd like to see it in-person too.

I hate that Halo:MCC requires my like, 28 digit Microsoft password AND 2FA to play a game from 2007. It should allow you to bypass login and just play as your steam account.

Every time I want to play it, it asks for that, and I just quit and play something that is far less of a hassle, particularly offline.

I got a pretty bad fragrance allergy a few years ago and would break out in a big rash if I got them near my face. I think things are improving these days, but I was shocked at how much more sharp my sense of smell is now that almost nothing has artificial fragrances (save for deodorant, and some body soap that is like, made from ground up herbs). It's like someone whose senses are enhanced by losing one or more of them.

One of my siblings brought clothes laundered at his university, and the detergent was so cloying that I could taste it in the air, lol. Five years ago, I would barely have noticed it, because there was so much "noise" from the ~18 different scented products we all used on our bodies, clothes, air fresheners and bedding.

Even with fragrance-free stuff, everything still smells good. Just like cloth though, instead of artificial lemon or that blue-flavored dish soap. On the latter one, I've begun to taste it on dishes. I've since switched to fragrance-free dish soap because of that, lol.

Some of our deep water ports have something similar so the large ships don't have to idle in port to keep their engines warm/services online. Massive shore power hookups and the like. It prevents a ton of air pollution being dumped into the city.
