Huh, mine have been totally fine, but I got a very late model, I believe around October or November. Perhaps they fixed it.

Oh man, I'd say just the opposite! Date your friends! You know them well, you become good friends before you ever even start dating, which is great for pacing, and you both probably share a lot in common.

There's nothing quite like holding hands with your best friend, or quietly reading together. Or going skiing together ❤️

It's how long term relationships have formed for a handful of my buddies. And it's also how I met my spouse :)

While not everything works out, having a rock solid friendship can lead to an extremely strong relationship.

I'd let it offgas for 24-72 hours at least. It smells awful. It's probably something awful like VOCs, lol. Definitely keep a window open until it gets less stinky.

Weren't they sending soldiers to Ukraine to protect them?

And when is Ukraine gonna join the EU, as promised? If you are gonna promise things, you gotta do them. I'll believe any of these when I actually see it. :P

Here's your answer:

My friends and I categorically refuse to visit states in red. During the pandemic, their refusal to use masks and vaccines resulted in their hospital capacity reaching critical conditions, and they had to export a ton of their sick and dying to Washington and Montana, among other states. This deferred care for resident cancer patients in those states.

Guess how they thanked the states that bailed their asses out come November 5th? If you guessed "crushing tariffs", you guessed right.

There are a few good souls there, but they have a disproportionately high number of extremely evil people.

This is mostly true, haha. Though....

I held open a door in Canada and got berated for it by someone in their 40s. He wanted me to slam the door in his face, which I get if it was an apartment on the east side of Vancouver, but this was not the case, lol.

I'm always amazed that Canada has more extreme personality types than where I've lived in the US. Generally people are more nice, but the mean ones are jaw-droppingly mean, lol. Always gives me a bit of culture shock whenever it happens, which is probably once every 10 visits or so (I visit often).

The most recent one was someone who was extremely bothered that we rented out a space for a wedding and admonished the groom that he was using a community space an hour before it was set to open (we got permission from the landlords to use it as such.)

All that aside, Canada is not for sale, Fuck those cunts in the Trump administration, and you guys were fully justified for what you did in 1812. 😎

District level heating is actually pretty efficient, some universities do the same thing on purpose to save on bills. Our relatively young city does it with the downtown skyscrapers for the same reason.

The other nice thing is that when you upgrade the heating system to be less carbon intensive, you can instantly have a ton of buildings all jump instantly to fewer emissions too.

Well, there is one way, and most of us would welcome it at this point, lol.

They might not be, but God they are cute. I know they are wild animals, but I wanna get in there and play with them. :)

Zoom in on the face of the one in the header pic. They look like wise, noble anthro librarians from a TTRPG.

The Stylus 2024 is an excellent phone, coming from Samsung. It was on sale for $250 last year, which was great. I doubt I'll go back to flagships, tbh. This phone feels nearly as fast as flagships in everyday usage. The only slow part is editing screen recordings or videos, which I seldom do anyways. The headphone jack and microSD card is really nice and surprisingly useful.
