Thw government would need to be an actually democratic government for that to happen. But alas, they are all landlords.
It's also open-source and privacy-focused, so I'm not sure to what extent it makes a difference. If signal were to go astray it can always be forked.
In fact, I already use Molly because it is even more security and privacy focused.

That's a strange claim considering grapheneOS just feels like standard Android. The main issue with it, if you care about that, is that Gpay doesn't work.
