Obsidian is what I use. I used Joplin and Simplenote in the past.

I'm using Obsidian on Android and on Linux and sync my notes with Nextcloud. Nextcloud also has its on note taking app but I prefer Obsidian. I also love the canvas feature. I also love the fact that the files in Obsidian are Markdown files. You can still edit them with any text editor if needed.

I'm also using Firefox on Android. I have uBlock Origin extension installed.

I don't want to use Osmc or LibreELEC. What I'm going for is something like Android TV (tried using LineageOS but that didn't work out for me).

I was interested in something like Plasma Bigscreen but most of the tutorial is about 4 years old and point to using an old image.

I installed the Debian package. After that, I logged in and set Automatic login, and switch the session to Plasma Bigscreen (x11). After applying and a reboot, it launched Plasma Bigscreen but some widgets (like the audio, KDE Connect) froze when clicking on them.

What do you recommend? I prefer to use a Raspberry Pi.

Whenever I click on a link in the Post view, Boost takes up to 5 seconds to load up the page up in Firefox. Post view is set to "compact," but I tried others like "Cards 2.0" and "Cards".

I have "Open externally" set in the General -> Default browser settings. I set it to "internal browser," but that made no difference.

Firefox is set as my default browser. I then set the default browser to Vivaldi but that made no difference.

I used other Lemmy clients, and there were no delays.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm using version 1.0.12 on Android.

No, no no... You're thinking of Ricki Lake.

Backup is key. Installed the updated mobile app from the Google Playstore, and then I took a backup and followed the steps to edit the docker-compose.yml file. I pulled in the new Docker version, and so far, so good. 👍
