There's a FUCKING QUARRY MOD???!!! Thank you kind sir. I'm going mining.

Oh absolutely. I have hundreds of hours logged, probably over a thousand now. It just gets so complicated and intense that I give up before getting anywhere near "end game".

I'm surprised anyone has the patience to get to a space ship. I get bored late midgame when you run out of steel and have to juggle caravans and a colony which is constantly beset with attacks and adverse conditions.

Seriously, folks in the US need to start organising. The people in charge of your country are going to take everything you have if you let them. Resist.

I don't know if this applies in the US but multiple people can take out a mortgage against the same property. If you have 3/4 trustworthy friends then you can pool your money to buy a place. It's complicated but better to invest your money in your own property than to line the pockets of cunt landlords and letting agents.

I was you until about 3 months ago when I discovered Microsoft sells cloud services to the IDF. Political motivations aside, I would encourage you to try out a KDE plasma linux distro. It's laid out pretty much exactly the same as windows 10 and bazzite worked for me out of the box even with a relatively rare gaming laptop build.

Unfortunately most of the major players are involved in some sort of evilness as far as I am aware. Spotify/Google/Apple are all pretty unethical companies. Personally, I have made the decision to cut out the middle man and sail the seven seas while also supporting the artists I like by being a vinyl wanker and going to gigs.

As for streaming services (I am very happy to be corrected here because I am not certain) AFAIK both tidal and qobuz are good alternatives. Qobuz is based in France so your data will be safer but Tidal is a bit cheaper.

I mean, the Spotify CEO invests in AI weaponry being used to murder kids in Gaza so the morally correct thing to do would be to leave Spotify over that.

Hi, brand new linux noob and am having issues right off the bat.

I've just installed Garuda Dr460nized edition on my Legion laptop, fresh install (no dual boot), run the updater, installed a few apps and first thing I see is a little warning that tells me I need to merge pacdiff files and the file affected is mirrorlist.pacnew.

Do a little reading, get the general gist of what I'm supposed to do, then use the distro bundled software (Kompare) to merge all differences, save, reboot. BUT, the warning it still there, and now, when I go back into kompare, it tells me the two files are identical, plus there seem to be a bunch a graphical bugs now that weren't there before I merged the files.

Very confused as to why this file, which just seems to be a list of various website mirrors, would cause graphical issues but like I said, I'm brand new to this, but determined to learn from my mistakes.

Can anyone explain what I've done wrong? I can't seem to undo the changes now.
