Progress to something better or to self-destruction, nothing is forever. The whole social media may disappear at some point, it all depends on the community and human kind as a whole. The simple truth is that people want entertainment, if AI is capable of delivering better, it will be embraced.

I'm not saying that this is good or bad, I don't like it either. So I do what I can to support what I think is good and give my disapprove to what I think is bad. If Instagram becomes a place for AI influencers, I'll just ditch it. This should be the natural reaction of everyone, unfortunately this is what all "influencer" thing was heading to. From the very beginning of their careers they advertise fantasizes, they used every piece of technology available to enhance their looks and lifestyle.

To me, this is just part of the progress. With the introduction of technology, they were the ones to take advantage of Photoshop, Instagram filters and all. Now the technology advanced enough to not only be an instrument to enhance their looks, but to fully replace them.

Who are those "they" always refered? Isn't it that the humanity is doing all for this?

The Ascent with my wife in local co-op, really nice one as she's not really intro video games, but killing everything on screen and having to coordinate ourselves seems to be enjoyable.

As it's almost Christmas, watching Harry Potter and playing Hogwarts Legacy creates quite the atmosphere for holidays.

I tried using free tier NextDNS on a network with 2 Samsung TVs hooked up and hit the threshold of 300k requests within a week. It's mad how much data Samsung is collecting from their smart devices. Even when not using any features, the TV may stay with a screensaver and still send lots of data.

You can use KeePass, but you'll have to figure out a way to have your password vault available on other devices (can do it by using any cloud shares, i.e. GDrive). This way you'll be in charge of almost every aspect of your passwords. But you'll have to take care of backups and keep everything in sync.

Nokia is not making phones anymore. Those on the market are from HMD Global, a Chinese company which bought the brand name Nokia for mobile.

What you describe is to some extent existing in multiple countries. Basically the degrees in industries that lack specialists get more free slots whereas the others get less. As a student you can still start studying for a fee, if you don't match the requirements (usually it is based on grades) but you can get to a free slot later on if your grades are good enough.

Why not make it free? At the end of the education cycle the student will get a job and start paying taxes. Isn't that what society needs? Having educated people to do various jobs. Why putting that behind a crazy paywall?
